Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Oct. 19:

*William Robert Lowther II, 39, 1602 Deerwalk Highway, Waverly, was arraigned on a destruction of public utility charge and was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Santana Ellen Hopkins, 30, 93 Elm St., Davisville, was arraigned on charges of battery and obstructing and was released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Casey G. Hornbeck, 29, 44 Meadowview Circle, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of no proof of insurance and driving with a suspended license and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Michael Anthony Bownan, 36, 229 Franklin St., Marietta, was arraigned on a violation of a protective order charge and was released $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Colton Dale Poole, 20, 824 Lakeview Drive Apt. 112A, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a driving with a suspended license charge and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Christopher Ryan Draper, 33, Belpre, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication, domestic battery and battery and was released on a $1,100 surety bond.

* Hunter Lew Huber, 23, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of brandishing a firearm and domestic assault and was released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Paul Joseph Brown, 48, 508 Apt. B Columbia Ave., Williamstown, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and was released on a $500 surety bond.

* Shawn Nicholas Smith, 32, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on a $500 surety bond.

* Jordan Andrew Hensley, 26, Williamstown, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on $500 surety bond.

The Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Oct. 21:

* Bates D. Ellison, 74, 1403 St. Marys Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a seatbelt charge and was assessed $25 in court costs and fines.

* Eric Ray Payton, 46, 1725 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, was arraigned as a fugitive from justice out of Washington County on a theft of firearms charge. He is being held without bond which will be set by Circuit Court.

* Isaac Raymond Harman, 39, 1125 Parr Hill Road, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a conspiracy charge.

* Justin Louis Haddad, 28, 1234 Lynn St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of failure to register or provide notice of registration changes.

* Charges of employment or use of a minor to produce obscene matter and use of obscene matter with the intent to seduce a minor were dismissed for Darrin Alonzo Miller, 38, c/o St. Marys Correctional 2880 N. Pleasants Highway, St. Marys. The charging officer did not appear.

* Troy Lynn Cutler, 55, 814 Swann St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on a $500 surety bond.

* Michael Eugene McCord, 68, 648 Sherwood Forest Drive, Belleville, was arraigned on two counts of violating a personal safety order and was released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Travis Lee Cook, 37, homeless, was arraigned on a conspiracy to commit grand larceny charge and was released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Kendra Charisse Talbot, 26, 1711 17th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a possession of a stolen vehicle charge and was released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Hope Rashawn Hutson, 21, 306 Berry St. Apt. B, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of shoplifting and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Justin Lashawn Davis, 26, 1402 Andrew St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstructing an officer and was assessed $220.25 in court costs and fines.

* Jessica Kay Jackson, 29, 6399 Old St. Marys Pike, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was ordered to pay $570 civil penalty to Kohls and $553.52 to Walmart. She was assessed $195.25 in court costs and fines.

* Peggy Sue Williams, 55, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 7, Marietta, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was ordered to pay $50 civil penalty to Walmart and was assessed $195.25 in court costs and fines.

* Rodney Cline Stansberry, 65, 188 Cherry St., Harrisville, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence with greater than .15 blood-alcohol concentration and was sentenced to jail for 48 hours and was assessed $465.25 in court costs and fines.

* Auston Gaige Crouch, 25, 1403 12th Ave., Vienna, pleaded guilty to obtaining money, property or service by false pretenses, grand larceny and petit larceny. One count of obtaining property, money and services by false pretenses was dismissed and he was sentenced to probation for on year, suspended for six months and was ordered to pay $2,650 in restitution within six months. He was assessed $2,280.25 in court costs and fines.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Oct. 21:

Oct. 16

* Deputies responded to the Red Roof Inn for a possible Domestic dispute. The Deputy spoke with both the male and female who stated they were in a verbal argument, nothing physical. All subjects were advised to keep it quiet for the evening.

* Deputies responded to North Dry Run Road for a two vehicle accident. It appeared that the Ford Fusion had struck the back of the Ford F150. A crash report was taken, the Ford F150 was driven from the scene and the Ford Fusion was towed.

* A deputy spoke with the complainant who reported that while she was staying at a residence near Camden Avenue and Virgil Street her license plate was removed from her vehicle. She was advised to contact the DMV for getting a new Registration Plate.

* A deputy responded to Sams Creek Road for a Larceny that had already occurred. The complainant reported that while they were at a residence working a male had gotten into the work truck and removed a tool bag with various tools inside. The complainant stated he had confronted the subject who in return threw the bag into his vehicle and left the area.

* Deputies responded to the Quality Inn for an unwanted subject that had left the scene. Christopher Ryan Draper, age 33 of Barth Road, Belpre Ohio was arrested on charges of Public Intoxication, Domestic Battery 2nd Offense and Battery. He was processed and placed pending his arraignment.

Oct. 17

* A deputy responded to Island View Drive for a Domestic altercation involving a firearm. Upon arrival the Deputy was met by two females on the front porch yelling for the Deputy to hurry as the male inside was being disorderly. Hunter Levi Huber, age 23 of Island View Drive was arrested on charges of Brandishing a Firearm and Domestic Assault. He was processed and placed at the Holding Center pending his arraignment.

* A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle on I-77 near the 169 mile marker. A local check showed the driver to have an active warrant for Destruction of Property and was an NCIC hit out of Washington County Ohio for a Probation Violation with Extradition. William Robert Lowther II, age 39 of New York Avenue was arrested on the charges. He was placed pending his arraignment.

Oct. 18

* A deputy responded to Cedar Grove Road for a single vehicle accident with possible entrapment. Upon the deputy arriving a male subject stated that there was only one person in the vehicle and he had helped him out of the vehicle. The driver refused medical treatment, Jeremy Nathan Lane, 41, of Happy Valley Lane, was issued a citation for DUI 2nd and was processed and released to a family member.

* A citation was issued to Zourayz Syed Kamran, 26, of Saint Thomas Lane, Owings Mill, Md., for failure to yield to emergency vehicle.

* A deputy responded to I-77 milepost 165.5 for a vehicle crash involving a deer. The driver stated she was southbound on I-77 when she observed a deer on the right side of the highway and began to slow down, she then stated another deer came from her left side and ran into her driver side headlight. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed.
