Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Aug. 20:

∫ Probable cause was found in a preliminary hearing for John Brady Studenic, 33, 3534 Monongahela Ave., Parkersburg, on charges of fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, prohibited person concealing a firearm, use or presentation of a firearm during commission of a felony and prohibited person possessing a firearm. The case was transferred to Wood County Circuit Court.

∫ Adam Scott Jackson, 33, 4420 17th Ave., Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. The case was bound over to Circuit Court.

∫ Andrew Michael Brown, 34, 302 Colegate Drive, Marietta, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and the case was bound over to Circuit Court.

∫ Christopher Edward Linn Byrd, 32, 1103 30th St., Vienna, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of fleeing from an officer in a vehicle with reckless indifference, and the case was bound over to Circuit Court.

∫ Jason Thomas Klatik, 43, care of 13091 Kevin Drive, Doylestown, Ohio, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol concentration of greater than 0.15 and was sentenced to eight hours in jail. He was also assessed $465.25 in fines and court costs.

∫ Michael Keith Allman, 37, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended for one year of unsupervised probation. He was assessed $180.25 in fines and court costs. A charge of domestic assault was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

∫ Tracy Lynn Florence, 33, 157 Dickens Drive, Apt. 7, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to violation of a personal safety order, possession of a controlled substance and no insurance and was sentenced to two 90-day terms in jail, suspended for two years each of unsupervised probation, to be concurrently served. She was also assessed $710.75 in fines and court costs. Two counts of driving on a suspended/revoked license, general, and one count each of cell phone use while driving and trespassing were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

∫ Tina Marie Harrelson, 60, 724 Fitzhugh Williams Lane, Delco, N.C., pleaded guilty to operating an unauthorized motor vehicle beyond a gate and was assessed $190.25 in fines and court costs. A charge of proceeding beyond any sign prohibiting travel was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

∫ Benjamin Cole Laughlin, 27, P.O. Box 97, Arnoldsburg, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs and was sentenced to four hours in jail, with credit for four hours served. He was also assessed $325.25 in fines and court costs.

∫ Brittany Lee-Nicole Bell, 29, care of 502 Elm St., Belpre, pleaded guilty to obstructing an officer and was assessed $220.25 in fines and court costs.

∫ Denine Lynn Mullins-Stewart, 40, 4402 Schoolhouse Road, Little Hocking, pleaded guilty to public intoxication and obstructing and was assessed $395.50 in fines and court costs. Charge of disorderly conduct and failure to provide fingerprints were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

∫ Jeremy Lee Cantwell, 43, 1244 Cantwell Ridge Road, Walker, pleaded guilty to violation of a protective order and was sentenced to 24 hours in jail, to be served in two, 12-hour stints. He was also assessed $445.25 in fines and court costs.

∫ Fredrick Martin Steed II, 24, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for one year of unsupervised probation. He was also assessed $190.25 in court costs.

∫ Terry Austin Williams, 24, 3402 25th St., Apt. 2, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shooting or discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling and was assessed $220.25 in fines and court costs.

∫ Carl E. Spradlin, 38, 2505 New York Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without or failure to produce a certificate of inspection and was assessed $175.25 in fines and court costs. Charges of no proof of insurance and expired registration were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

∫ Julie Elizabeth Wiegel, 56, 1217 30th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving while impaired, failure to maintain control and no proof of insurance and released on a $3,500 bond.

∫ Quinn Mitchell Tennant, 29, 5655 Dupont Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense driving on a license suspended for DUI and receiving/transferring stolen property and released on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond.

∫ Edward Eugene Gibson III, 34, 706 Neale St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of grand larceny and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

∫ Rodney C. Stansberry, 62, 188 Cherry St., Harrisville, was arraigned on a charge of aggravated DUI, with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.15, and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

∫ Kristen Elyse Kelley, 33, 339 Joes Run Road, Burnsville, W.Va., was arraigned on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and obstructing and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

∫ Christine J. Heightland, 51, 860 Market St., Clarington, Ohio, pleaded guilty to speeding and was assessed $175.25 in fines and court costs.

∫ Jason Michael Racer, 38, 44 Meadowbrook Acres, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended/revoked license, general; no insurance; and a two seat belt violations and was assessed $690.50 in fines and court costs.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Aug. 25:

Aug. 21:

∫ A citation was issued to Scott Michael Gough, 32, of Walnut Grove, Washington, W.Va., for driving on suspended or revoked and no seatbelt.

∫ A deputy spoke with the complainant at the sheriff’s office about a hit and run which occurred on Aug. 20. The complainant reported she was traveling south on Southern Highway around Sugar Camp Road when another vehicle struck her vehicle and left the scene. The complainant stated she was too shaken up to call 911 at the time. The deputy observed damage to the mirror, the back driver fender and the driver running boards.

∫ A deputy responded to Elizabeth Pike for a large amount of asphalt on the road that had fallen out of the back of an asphalt truck. The deputy monitored traffic until DOH arrived and took over the traffic and the clean up.

∫ Megan Whitney Skidmore, 33, 14th Avenue, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and a warrant for obstructing issued through the Vienna Police Department.

Aug. 22:

∫ A citation was issued to Jo Ann Kelley, 43, Locust Street, for driving on suspended or revoked.

∫ Deputies responded to the VIP Club on Pike Street for a fight in progress involving several males in the parking lot. Upon arrival an employee stated an argument occurred with some patrons of the bar and punches were thrown. No one wished to file charges and the two subjects were advised they were barred from the business and were advised about trespassing if they returned.

∫ Deputies responded to 37th Street for a suspicious person in the parking lot. Upon arrival contact was made and Russell Lee Traugh, 38, Plum Street, was arrested on charges of indecent exposure.

∫ A deputy was approached by a complainant about someone removing jumper cables from his truck. The complainant, who lives on Marrtown Road, stated the jumper cables were in a toolbox in the bed of the truck, however he did not see any signs of forced entry or damage to the lock.

∫ A deputy spoke with a complainant who reported her wallet had been stolen from her vehicle while parked at her residence on Dixie Lane. The complainant stated that the EBT card inside her wallet had been used before she had a chance to cancel it. This case has been turned over to the detective bureau.

∫ A deputy responded to Woodridge Drive about cattle on the golf course. A relative of the owner was contacted and advised to tell the owner that charges could be pursued if the cattle continued to get onto the golf course causing damage.

∫ Richard Edward Ogden, 41, of Ellis Road, Stockport, was arrested on a warrant for violation of a domestic violence protective order.

Aug. 23:

∫ A deputy responded to Deerwalk Highway about a larceny. The complainants reported that they had arrived home and observed a pipe laying underneath their vehicle and upon checking they noticed the catalytic converter had been cut off.

∫ Deputies responded to Ash Circle about a possible burglary. The homeowner said he had just evicted people from the residence and he was securing the door.

Parkersburg Police

PARKERSBURG  — The Parkersburg Police Department released the following reports on Aug. 25:

∫ Joseph Hutson, 40, of Parkersburg was arrested on Aug. 24 for no insurance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of counterfeit currency and second-offense driving revoked.

∫ Daniel Shmigal, 52, of Parkersburg was arrested on Aug. 24 for public intoxication, obstructing, disorderly conduct, assault of a police officer, assault of EMS and failure to fingerprint.

∫ Brandon Pearce, 37, Parkersburg, was arrested on Aug. 24 on a capias.

∫ On Aug. 24, officers responded to headquarters for a larceny.

∫ On Aug. 24, officers responded to a motor vehicle accident.
