Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases appeared in Wood County Magistrate Court on Feb. 10:

* David J. Barnes, 46, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of strangulation, attempt to commit a felony (burglary) and retaliation against a public officer. His bond was set at $15,000 surety.

* Janessa Nicole Woods, 36, 1412 42nd St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of second-offense DUI, no insurance and driving a revoked license and bond was set at $1,500 surety.

* Brittney Sue Stanley, 25, 110 Browns Alley Apt. 1, Marietta, was arraigned on a shoplifting charge and was released on $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Robin Lee Roberts, 50, homeless, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance and was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* John Thomas Buchanan, 32, Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on a strangulation charge and bond was set at $10,000 surety.

* Derrick Allen Lanning, 40, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* Eric Patrick Townsend, 40, 312 Red Hill Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance, meth, and trespassing and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* Joseph A. Svriderman, 44, 808 Dewey Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a third-offense shoplifting charge and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* Charles Vernon Alltop, 56, Parkersburg, was arraigned on eight counts of violation of a protective order and was released on a $800 surety bond.

* Garland Anthony Ritchey, 42, 4520 Cypress St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, obstructing, battery and telephone harassment and assault and was released on $3,000 surety bond.

* Jacob Detric Adams, 21, 19th St., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of fishing without a license, driving on a suspended license, no insurance, expired registration and no or expired motor vehicle inspection and was released on $2,500 bond.

* Philip Michael McCloy, 30, 238 Highland Lake Terrace, Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of fraudulent use of an access device and was released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Christopher Sean Rogers, 28, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a second-offense charge of domestic battery and bond was set at $1,000 surety.

* Danny Minigh, 69, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and two counts of indecent exposure and was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Jack Edward Willey III, 33, Clover, S.C., had a domestic battery charge dismissed after the alleged victim declined to pursue the case.

* Bradley Scott Helmick, 40, 720 29th St., Apt. 46, Parkersburg, had a charge of possession of a controlled substance dismissed because the officer was not available for trial.

* Rayana Lishae Sayles, 19, 572 Lower Mud Lick Road, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to no operator’s license and was assessed $175.25 in fines and court costs.

* Alan K. Philpott Jr., 28, 113 Wildwood Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of no registration, no operator’s license, no insurance, improper use of registration, speeding in a school zone and no motor vehicle inspection and was released on $3,000 bond.

* Timothy Allen Alkire, 43, 4013 Powell St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, He was sentenced to 90 days jail suspended for one year of probation with credit for time served and was assessed $170.25 in court costs.

* Grant Stephen Dawson, 45, 5009 Turkey Fork Road, Sandyville, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was released on $500 bond.

* Kyle Morgan Carmichael, 34, 708 Cypress St., Ravenswood, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was released on $500 bond.

* Hueston Lee Kellar, 31, Washington, W.Va., had a charge of violating a protective order dismissed after the alleged victim declined to pursue the case.

* Janel Lynn Fleenor, 45, 224 Berry Run Road, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to traffic control device violation and was assessed $175.25 in fines and court costs.

PARKERSBURG – The Parkersburg Police Department released the following reports on Feb. 10:

* The department responded to 113 calls for service on Feb. 6.

* Robin Roberts, 50 of Parkersburg was arrested on Feb. 6 for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.

* Jason Haught of Belpre was arrested on Feb. 6 for fugitive from justice and prohibited person with firearm.

* Kenneth Sewell of Belpre was arrested on Feb. 6 on warrants.

* On Feb. 6, officers responded to Sheetz on Seventh Street for a stolen vehicle.

* On Feb. 6, officers spoke with a complainant about a grand larceny.

* On Feb. 6, officers spoke with a complainant about an auto larceny.

* On Feb. 6, officers spoke with a complainant about a fraudulent check that was cashed.

* On Feb. 6, officers responded to Sixth Street for a breaking and entering.

* On Feb. 6, officers responded to Bird Street for a larceny.

* On Feb. 6, officers responded to four motor vehicle accidents.
