Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Jan. 27:

* Charges of kidnapping, second-degree sexual assault, strangulation and malicious assault against Adam Corey Abbott, 29, of 2602 Broad St., Parkersburg, were dismissed without prejudice after a preliminary hearing in which the alleged victim declined to testify against him.

* Nicholas Ray Fortney, 37, 40 Pinnacle Drive, Charleston, was arraigned on charges of burglary and strangulation and bond was set at $30,000.

* Michael Anthony Forman, 39, Parkersburg, was arraigned on four counts of violating a domestic violence protective order and released on an $8,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Corey Levi Morrison, 22, no address listed, was arraigned on a charge of burglary and bond was set at $100,000.

* Helen Yvonne Adams, 58, lot 13, Cedar Lakes Drive, Ripley, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Joseph Allen Dowler, 38, 4415 14th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of stolen property and prohibited person in possession of a firearm and released on a $4,000 surety bond.

* Mark David Dugan, 46, 365 Meadowland Drive, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of reckless operation and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Brian Keith Goodnight, 49, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of reporting a false emergency and bond was set at $4,000 surety.

* Bradley Douglas Worstell, 24, 29725 Ohio 7, Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, fentanyl, with intent to deliver and bond was set at $200,000 surety.

* Dale Eugene Logston, 27, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of unlawful restraint, domestic battery and brandishing and bond was set at $60,000.

* Robert Henry Massey II, 45, 1214 22nd St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of procuring electricity with intent to defraud and fugitive from justice. Bond was set at $2,000 surety for the procuring charge, but he was held without bond on the fugitive warrant.

* Mathis Eugene Johnson, 36, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing and domestic battery. Bond was set at $4,000 surety but he was held on a parole violation.

* Aaron Matthew Ewing, 39, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing, disorderly conduct and public intoxication and released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Rebecca June Crudele, 38, 233 Deerwalk Highway, Waverly, was arraigned on charges of aggravated driving under the influence (blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08), obstructing and leaving the scene and released on a $4,000 bond.

* Anthonette Lynn Anderson, 56, 1349 Avery St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of receiving/transferring stolen property and was released on $1,000 bond.

* Jonathon Ray Sindledecker, 39, 1008 14th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, was sentenced to 90 days jail with credit for time served and was assessed $170.25 in court costs.

* Gabriel Wesley Landis, 36, 1702 Staunton Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a driving under suspension charge and was released on $500 bond.

* Travis Dwight Green, 37, 4244 North Pleasant Way, St. Marys, was arraigned on a shoplifting less than $500 charge and was released on $250 bond.

* Joseph Allen Dowler, 38, 4415 14th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and was released on $20,000 bond.

* Nicholas A. Daum, 31, 1402 Numan Ave., Lakewood, Ohio, pleaded no contest to speeding and was assessed $175.25 in fines and court costs.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG  — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Jan. 27

* The department answered 162 calls Jan. 24-26: 15 traffic stops, four mental hygiene orders, five intrusion alarms; four domestic complaints and domestic order services, seven motor vehicle accidents, seven warrant services, nine area checks, 17 speak with complainant by phone/in person and seven suspicious vehicles/persons.

* On Jan. 24, deputies responded to a single vehicle crash with injuries on I-77 milepost 175 northbound. The vehicle had hydroplaned spinning around striking the concrete barrier with the side and back passenger side corner. Vehicle was towed and one person was transported.

* On Jan. 24, deputies responded to the Justice Center for a subject wishing to turn herself in on a capias. Julie Kay Hewett, 49, of Kanawha Street was arrested on the capias for knowingly/intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription. She was processed, arraigned and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* On Jan. 24, deputies responded to a possible structure fire on Kemper Street at Gator Shredding. Upon arrival the fire marshal was already on scene and advised the fire was accidental and had occurred due to a paper shredder becoming jammed and catching fire. law enforcement was not needed.

* On Jan. 24, deputies responded to Old Mount Moriah Methodist Church for a suspicious vehicle. A local check showed the male subject to have an active warrant. Charles Joseph Richards, 44, of 23rd Street was served with a capias for driving on suspended/revoked.

* On Jan. 24, deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on I-77 at the 174 milepost northbound. Upon arrival the driver stated no injuries and no medical attention was required. The driver stated that she hit standing water and lost control of the vehicle where it swerved right striking the guardrail then bounced and sent it into a culvert. Minimal damage was done to the vehicle; it was removed from the culvert and was able to be driven.

* On Jan. 24, a citation was issued to James Louis Hochendoner, 27, of 56th Street for driving on suspended/revoked.

* On Jan. 25, Mark David Dugan, 46, of Meadowland Drive was arrested on charges of reckless driving.

* On Jan. 25, a deputy responded to the Wood County Holding Center for a bail bondsman who had brought in a subject who had a capias needing served on him. Matthew Paul Miller, 37, Treasure Island Lane, Elizabeth, was served with the capias for charges of improper registration, driving on suspended/revoked, dui, safety belts, fleeing from officer and possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription. He was re-confined pending his arraignment.

* On Jan. 25, deputies spoke with a complainant who said he drives a truck and parks his vehicle on Robert Byrd Highway and Stillwell Road. During the week someone cut off the catalytic converter to his vehicle and the estimated cost to replace was about $600.

* On Jan. 25, deputies responded to a call on Grandview Street and made contact with subject who said he was OK and did not wish to be checked by EMS. He was asked if any weapons were inside the residence and subsequently a rifle was located. A local check showed it to be stolen out of Ritchie County. Joseph Allen Dowler, 38, of Grandview Street was arrested on charges of receiving or transferring stolen property and prohibited person to possess a deadly weapon.

* On Jan. 25, a deputy responded to AT&T on Murdoch Avenue for a larceny of a cell phone. The store manager reported that the subject walked to the display model and when the associate walked away the subject pulled a Samsung Galaxy S10 from the Security post and walked from the store. The smart phone is valued at $1,150.

* On Jan. 25, deputies were dispatched to Henrie Lane for a domestic in progress and were then advised that the male and female had left in a vehicle. The vehicle had turned in to the BP gas station at Emerson Avenue at which time the deputy made contact with the male and the female. The female stated that she and her boyfriend had just left Henrie Lane and were involved in a verbal argument. Christopher Eugene Malone, 20, of Greentree Drive was issued a citation for driving on suspended/revoked.

* On Jan. 26, deputies responded to the 7900 block of Staunton Turnpike for a single vehicle accident where the vehicle had exited the roadway striking several mailboxes and an embankment before getting stuck in the wet field. The driver then walked to look for help when located by the deputy. A citation was issued to Charles Matthew Little, 59, of Little Addition Road for DUI.

* On Jan. 26, deputies were dispatched to the area of Emerson Avenue and Carpenters Run Road for a female yelling for help. Deputies were then advised of a possible vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 31 Deerwalk Highway and Carpenters Run Road. Deputies, Waverly Fire Department and St. Joe Ambulance Service searched the area for the crash and was later notified that the complainant had dropped the female off at a residence and that the accident was just past Meredith Manor. The vehicle was located and a deputy went to the residence to speak with the driver who had left the scene and had not contacted 911 to report the crash. Upon contact with the female the deputy detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her person as she admitted to being the driver of the vehicle which had crashed. Rebecca June Crudele, 38, of Deerwalk Highway was arrested on charges of DUI, obstructing and leaving the scene.

* On Jan. 26, Eric Matthew Dowler, 19, Grandview Street, was issued a citation for failure to stop at stop light.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Jan. 27:

* On Jan. 21, Deputy Schwendeman met with three juveniles who were charged as follows: one male with driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs and possession of drugs; one male charged with possession of drugs; and one male charged with possession of drugs and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

* On Jan. 22, Deputy Parks was dispatched to 180 Main Street, Vincent, to meet with John Parsons. Parsons was reporting Douglas G. Snider and Chevelle Sarver had stolen multiple tools and equipment from him within the last several days. Parsons stated when Snider and Sarver left his property he noticed a generator, pump, pressure washer and other miscellaneous tools, with the estimated value of $10,000, missing from inside and outside at his property. Witnesses confirmed that Snider and Sarver were on the property and inside the residence multiple times within the last several days. It was also reported that they went as far as going into the upstairs bedrooms, uninvited and unannounced. Also missing were several necklaces out of a bedroom, which were later returned. Warrants were requested, issued and served on Douglas Gene Snider, 46, 1314 Glendale Road, Marietta, on charges of burglary, theft and breaking and entering, along with Chevelle Brianne Sarver, 34, 200 Pennock Drive, Lot 28, Beverly, for complicity to commit burglary. Both Snider and Sarver were processed into the Washington County Jail.

* On Jan. 24, Deputy Hall and Deputy Kehl responded to 687 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, in reference to David Wriston yelling and acting crazy. Wriston was also making comments about hurting people. After completing the investigation it was determined that David Wayne Wriston, 35, would be arrested and charged with domestic violence. Wriston was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

* On Jan. 24, Deputy Schwendeman responded to 180 Main Street, Vincent, to meet with John Parsons who reported the theft of a bicycle. This case remains under investigation.

* On Jan. 24, Sgt. Parks met with Jeremy Lowe, Pomeroy, in reference to the theft of a catalytic converter off of a 2012 Ford truck while parked in Washington County. This case remains under investigation.

The following subjects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Friday and Monday:

* Eric Joseph Bobb, 37, 8295 Dozer Ridge Road, Philo, Ohio, breach of recognizance, two counts of burglary, two counts of theft, two counts of theft of a firearm, and theft of a motor vehicle, all felonies.

* Theodore James Lambert III, 57, 119 Riverview Drive, Marietta, fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor, and forgery (Wood County).

* Douglas Gene Snider, 46, 1314 Glendale Road, Marietta, burglary, theft, and breaking and entering, all felonies.

* Chevelle Brianne Sarver, 34, 200 Pennock Drive, Lot 28, Beverly, complicity to burglary, a felony.

* Chad William Richard Warner, 34, 260 Greenbrier Circle, Marietta, parole violation and possessing drug abuse instruments, both misdemeanors.

* Michelle Dawn Montgomery Roberts, 45, Marietta, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

* Jessica Ann Lockamy, 31, 717 Circle Drive, Belpre, fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor, and possession of drugs, a felony.

* William Robert Harris, 40, Marietta, domestic violence, a felony.

* Douglas Eugene Powers, 36, 717 Circle Drive, Belpre, fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor, and theft, a felony.

* Jacob Clyde Hattle, 23, 33777 Bethel Ridge Road, New Matamoras, resisting arrest and obstructing official business, both misdemeanors.

* Matthew Loyd Way, 42, 10 Browns Road, Marietta, theft, OVI, and contempt of court, all misdemeanors.

* Jerry Lee Corbin, 55, 6401 Lightner Ridge Road, Stockport, breach of recognizance and theft, both misdemeanors.

* Serina Lynnette Shilling, 49, P.O. Box 508, Beverly, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

* Mitchell Douglas Rowland, 30, 1026 28th St., Vienna, aggravated burglary, a felony.

BELPRE — The Belpre Police Department released the following reports on Jan. 27:

* Andrea L. McDonough, 35, of Parkersburg was cited for expired registration.

* Billy J. Barton, 72, of Little Hocking was cited for expired registration.

Jan. 21:

* Hanna M. Dinh , 37, of Vienna was cited for speed 70 mph in a 50 mph zone.

* Evan N. Lynch, 21, of Vincent was cited for speed 70 mph in a 50 mph zone.

* Kimberly R. McFee, 38, of Belpre was cited for expired registration.

* Cameron J. Cowan, 27, of Marietta was cited for driving under suspension and fail to obey traffic control device.

Jan. 22:

* Joshua K. Snider, 25, of Fleming was cited for expired registration.

* David A. Buehler, 72, of Parkersburg was cited for speed 66 mph in a 50 mph zone.

Jan. 23:

* Kristin L. McGuire, 45, of Vincent was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on the charges of driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs and no tail lights.

* Emily P. McCroskey, 29, of Belpre was cited for expired registration.

* Samantha L. Rothstein, 25, of Wichita, Kansas, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on fugitive from justice charges out of Wichita.

Jan. 24:

* Renee L. Luke, 38, of Marietta was arrested on the charge of theft.

Jan. 25:

* Sabrina M. Deem, 26, of Belpre was cited for expired registration.

* Jessica D. Lockamy, 31, of Belpre was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on the charge of being a fugitive from justice from the State of Kansas.

* Douglas E. Powers, 36, of Belpre was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on the charge of being a fugitive from justice from Kansas.

Jan. 26:

* Christie J. Stewart, 44, of Belpre was cited for a red light violation.

* James P. Reedy Jr., 49, of Parkersburg was cited for expired registration.
