Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Dec. 9:

* Eric Daniel Whitlatch, 50, 418 E. Eighth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense shoplifting, and bond was set at $75,000 surety.

* Zachary Barnett, 33, 865 Dodd Run Road, Marietta, was arraigned on charges of fleeing on foot and first-offense shoplifting and released on a $4,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Michael Douglas Johnson, 45, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of strangulation and released on a $100,000 surety bond. Johnson was arrested by Parkersburg Police on Dec. 7 after a reported domestic dispute in which he allegedly choked a family member until the individual lost consciousness.

* Randall Andrew Beatty, 32, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on charges of obstructing, unlawful restraint and assault on an officer and bond was set at $10,000 surety. Beatty was arrested Dec. 8 by Wood County Sheriff’s deputies after allegedly refusing to allow a fellow resident of his house to get items needed to leave, then injuring the hands of two deputies while resisting being handcuffed.

* Brian Keith Goodnight, 49, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a protective order and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Kyle Andrew Dent, 26, 2711 Roosevelt Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense shoplifting and bond was set at $50,000 surety.

* Lindsey Mae Tornes, 29, 20925 Ohio 676, Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Timothy Curtis Nay, 49, Vincent, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), domestic battery and worthless check and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Gerald Christopher Piggott, 36, 1620 Oak St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of person prohibited from possessing a firearm and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Trenton Wise, 22, P.O. Box 374, Waverly, pleaded guilty to no proof of insurance and was assessed $370.25 in court costs and fines. As part of a plea agreement, Wise was dismissed on a charge of operating without inspection.

* Jodi Hicks, 43, 113 Crawford St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of reckless driving and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Douglas Moore, 61, 212 Hallow Ridge Road, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of loaded firearm in vehicle and no blaze orange. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Josh Burdette II, 41, 674 Maple St., Davisville, was arraigned on charges of failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, driving while revoked, failure to obey traffic control device and two counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. He was released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Ashley Kipe, 30, 1024 Avery St., No. 12, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to providing a structure for use of a controlled substance. She was sentenced to one year probation and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Morgan Stewart, 26, 430 Hendershot Ave., Williamstown, waived his preliminary hearing on the charges of fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference and receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle. His case has been bound over to the Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.
