Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — The following cases appeared in Wood County Circuit Court on Dec. 23:

* Ashley Nicole Dowler, 30, was sentenced on a lesser included charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. She was sentenced to two to 10 years in prison with credit for time served and was assessed court costs and fees.

* Peter Brooks Wharton, 32, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a lesser included charge of first-offense possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was sentenced to three to 15 years in prison with credit for time served and was assessed court costs and fees.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Dec. 23:

* Alicia Nicole Miller, 37, 611 Ward Place Apt. 2B, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a third offense shoplifting charge and was released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Everett Christopher Freeland, 35, 1123 Avery Court, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of petit larceny and destruction of property and was released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Wanza Kay Giorgio, 54, 1792 Lake Washington Road, Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on a driving under the influence charge and released on a $2,000 bond.

* Ryan Brett Fransisco, 34, Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on charges of third-offense domestic battery and obstruction and was released on a $2,500 surety bond.

* Ryan Philip Merluzzi, 25, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Elbern Nelson Perrine Jr., 49, 613 Jameson St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a first offense DUI charge and was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Eric Jordan Swihart, 34, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery, destruction of property and petit larceny and bond was set at $2,500 surety.

* Gregory Charles Sheets, 60, 43820 Cook Rd., Pomeroy, was arraigned on charges of obstructing and disorderly conduct and was released on a $100 cash bond.

* Jennifer Rose Snyder, 36, 501 32nd St. Lot A4, Parkersburg, was arraigned on three charges of false pretenses and was released on a $200 cash bond.

* Jarret Edward Rejonis, 21, 1724 Gihon Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a forging/uttering charge and bond was set at $5,000 surety.

* Christopher William Browning, 30, 550 South Fourth Ave., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of driving on a revoked licence, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a crash and possession of a controlled substance, heroin, and bond was set at $2.500 surety bond.

* Charles Clinton Carpenter Jr., 35, 43724 Carr Road, Coolville, was arraigned on charges of no insurance and driving on a suspended/revoked license and was released on a $1,500 surety bond.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Dec. 23:

* On Dec. 16, at approximately 8:37 p.m., Lacee Jay Butler was brought to the Washington County Jail on charges of possessing drug abuse instruments and receiving stolen property. While in the receiving hallway, Butler was asked if she had anything such as drugs or weapons on her person, with Butler replying she did not have anything illegal. On Dec. 21, Washington County Jail officers learned that Butler had brought drugs into the jail, and she still was in possession of the drugs. Butler was interviewed and acknowledged swallowing the drugs when she was arrested and that they were still inside her body. Butler was given medical attention shortly thereafter. Butler, 36, homeless, was charged with illegal conveyance into a detention facility, a third-degree felony.

* On Dec. 19, Sgt. Reeder began an investigation into a subject’s debit card being compromised. This case remains under investigation.

* On Dec. 19, Lt. Hunter began an investigation into a possible violation of a protection order. This case remains under investigation.

* On Dec. 22, Deputy Aultman met with Tammy Zink, Camelot Road, Belpre, in reference to a stolen 2006 Jeep Liberty. This case remains under investigation.

The following subjects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Friday and Monday:

* Alecia Dawn Kitts, 33, 140 1/2 Clifton Street, Marietta, improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle and having weapons under disability, felonies, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors.

* Amanda Cheyenne Wigal, 30, 508 Ridge Street, Belpre, possession of drugs, two counts, both felonies.

* Brandon J. Murphy, 42, 5 Columbia Drive, East Fulton, Ohio, loose dog and failure to register a dog, both misdemeanors.

* Sasha Nicole Villega, 38, 5 Columbia Drive, East Fulton, Ohio, failure to restrain and failure to register, both misdemeanors.

* David Obrien Wells, 31, 2364 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, aggravated assault, a felony, out of Franklin County.

* Iesha Rachelle McFadden, 23, 411 East Spring Street, Marietta, tampering with evidence, a felony, theft, possessing drug abuse instruments, obstructing official business, and criminal trespass, all misdemeanors.

* William Roland Talkington, 32, 125 County Road 9, Apt. C2, Marietta, probation violation, two counts, both misdemeanors.

* Richard Curtis Decker, Jr., 62, Marietta, rape, a felony.

* Michael James Farnsworth, 30, Marietta, domestic violence, a felony.

Parkersburg Police

PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Police Department released the following reports Dec. 19:

* James Croston was arrested Dec. 18 on a warrant for domestic assault.

* On Dec. 18, officers responded to Walmart in reference to shoplifting that already occurred.

* On Dec. 18, officers responded to Fairfax Street in reference to a fraudulent use of an access device.

* On Dec. 18, officers spoke with complainant in reference to a burglary that already occurred.

* On Dec. 18, officers responded to two motor vehicle accidents.

The Parkersburg Police Department released the following reports Dec. 20:

* Harvey Metz, 61, of Parkersburg, was arrested Dec. 19 on charges of driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.

* On Dec. 19, officers responded to Emerson Avenue in reference to a stolen vehicle.

* On Dec. 19, officers responded to Pickering Street in reference to a breaking and entering.

* On Dec. 19, officers responded to Mo’s Mini Warehouse in reference to a breaking and entering that already occurred.

* On Dec. 19, officers responded to six motor vehicle accidents.
