Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Oct. 28:

* Jesse Leon Kersey III, 24, care of 2311 Pike St., Lot 13, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of malicious wounding and bond was set at $10,000 cash. Kersey was arrested after allegedly stabbing another man in the neck following an altercation at a camp site beneath the East Street Bridge, according to Parkersburg Police.

* Lawrence Lamont Combs, 49, 1725 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, was arraigned of two counts of possession of a controlled substance, heroin and cocaine, with intent to deliver, and bond was set at $100,000 bond.

* Marthanna Gayle Savage, 51, 509 Kanawha St., Apt. 1, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense shoplifting and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Brett Larkin Harrell, 26, 905 Tori Lane, Beebe, Arizona, was arraigned on a charge of aggravated driving under the influence and released on a $500 bond.

* Ryan Bruce Dick, 48, 1911 Neal St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of public intoxication and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Decontee Smith, 35, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a protective order and released on a $500 surety bond.

* Teri A. Shaw, 37, 1513 Park Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, less than 15 grams, and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Katie Jean Gibson, 29, 823 25th St., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of obstructing and battery of a police officer and released on a $1,000 bond.

* Chaz Steven Howard, 25, P.O. Box 473, Waverly, was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing and bond was set at $1,000 surety.

* Shelby Mae Hyde, 18, 5226 Volcano Road, Walker, was arraigned on charges of speeding, 70 mph in a 65 mph zone, and expired operator’s license and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Robert Lee Brogan Jr., 57, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic assault and obstructing and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Tristen Paul Persinger, 23, 1304 Ramsey St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of third-offense driving on a suspended license and released on a $500 surety bond.

* Skylar Wesley Bland, 28, 823 25th St., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of obstructing and assault of a police officer and released on a $1,000 bond.

* James Carroll Hart III, 37, 716 Jackson Ave., Huntington, was arraigned on a charge of driving on a license revoked for DUI and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Madison Elizabeth Donaway, 21, Belpre, was arraigned on two counts of violation of a protective order and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Scott Michael Ellison, 37, 109 W. Eighth St., Williamstown, was arraigned on a worthless check charge and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Shawn Eugene Covey, 42, 1202 Countyhouse Lane, Apt. 1, Marietta, pleaded guilty to battery of a government employee or medical personnel, was sentenced to 60 days jail and was assessed $170.25 in court costs.

* Charles Junior Davis II, 40, 2805 Birch St., Lot 19, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to third-offense driving under suspension, was sentenced to 30 days home confinement and was assessed $320.25 in fines and court costs.

* Jeremiah Jarrett Hardbarger, 39, 223 North Hills, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension, was sentenced to 30 days home confinement and was assessed $270.25 in fines and court costs.

* Taylor Nicole McDermitt, 24, 305 Anderson Lane, Ripley, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of prohibited person in possession of a firearm and bond was set at $3,500.

* Elijah William Greathouse, 18, 1804 Seventh Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $500 bond.

* Adam Michael Miller, 27, 703 Oak Grove Road, Walker, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and presentation of a firearm during commission of a felony and bond was set at $10,000.

* Justin Charles Haynes, 29, 206 Monongahela Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving while impaired and was released on $1,500 bond.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Oct. 28:

* From Oct. 24-27, the WCSO answered 262 calls including, 18 traffic stops, 15 intrusion alarms, nine area checks, eight assist motorist, 11 warrant services, six DV orders served, 13 complaints by phone, 12 complaints in person, four animal complaints and eight motor vehicle accidents.

* On Oct. 24, Clifford Edward Jones, 45, of Egypt Run Road, was arrested on a warrant for destruction of property. He was arraigned before a magistrate and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* On Oct. 24, a deputy along with PSC units responded to Robert Byrd Highway around the Division Street exit for mud in the roadway. Apparently a dump truck had a defective dump bed pouring mud onto the roadway. Several motorists had called into Central Dispatch advising it was a hazard and their vehicles had sustained damage from driving through the mud.

* On Oct. 25, James Ryan Perkins, 40, of 36th Street, was issued a citation for driving on suspended/revoked.

* On Oct. 25, James Carroll Hart III, 36, of Jackson Avenue, Huntington, was arrested on a charges of driving on suspended/revoked.

* On Oct. 25, James Matthew Broyles, 34, of Oak Street, was arrested on a capias issued out of Wyoming County for a charge of failure to pay child support.

* On Oct. 26, a deputy responded to Ault Storage in reference to a breaking and entering into a storage unit. The complainant reported that several items had been taken from the storage unit and the deputy observed the busted door lock area. At this time the investigation is ongoing.

* On Oct. 26, a deputy responded to the 7-11 on DuPont Road in reference to subjects leaving the store without paying for two bags of beef jerky. A citation was issued to Christopher Sean Rogers, 28, of Grove Avenue, Clarksburg, for shoplifting.

* On Oct. 26, Decontee Smith, 35, of 13th Street, was arrested on a warrant for violation of a protective order.

* On Oct. 27, Shelby Mae Hyde, 18, of Volcano Road, was arrested on a warrant for charges of speeding and expired registration due to her not appearing on her citation.

* On Oct. 27, Brett Larkin Harrell, 26, of Tori Lane, Beebe Ark., was arrested on a charges of aggravated DUI.

* On Oct. 27, Skylar Wesley Bland, 28, of 25th Street, was arrested on charges of obstructing and assault of a police officer and Katie Jean Gibson, 29, of 29th Street, was arrested on charges of obstructing and battery of a police officer.

* On Oct. 27, a deputy responded to Powell Apartments in reference to vandalism to a vehicle. The complainant reported that her vehicle had been scratched while parked in the parking lot.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Oct. 28:

* On Oct. 21, Deputy Brown began an investigation into a theft of a catalytic converter. This case remains under investigation.

* On Oct. 21, Sgt. McKee began an investigation into a runaway juvenile. The child was located and subsequently, charges of domestic violence, theft, and being an unruly juvenile will be filed through Washington County Juvenile Court.

* On Oct. 21, Deputy Young was dispatched to 4597 County Road 9, Reno, in reference to Brenda McKitrick reporting her husband Robert McKitrick Sr. had assaulted her. Contact was made with Brenda who advised she and Robert were in an argument and he went to the bedroom. Brenda went to open the bedroom door and attempted to talk with Robert. Robert allegedly stood up, walked to the door and shoved Brenda. Brenda stated that Robert then struck her in the face and then left the residence and drove away in his truck. Deputies met with Robert who denied being at the County Road 9 address, stating that he spent the evening in Marietta. Robert’s whereabouts were confirmed, however, later inquiry into his whereabouts proved that Robert had asked the subject to say he had been with them on that date/time, however he had not been there at all that evening. Robert Marion McKitrick, 65, 550 Ewing Road, Marietta, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence and obstructing official business. McKitrick was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

* On Oct. 24, Deputy H Tornes and Deputy Jason Hall were dispatched to 1096 Drag Strip Road, Belpre, in reference to a 911 call received by Wood County in reference to a female yelling that her boyfriend was hitting the hood of her car. The 911 center advised they lost contact with the female. Deputies met with Destiny Miller who stated her live-in boyfriend, Jeremy Haynes, caused damage to her vehicle. Miller stated they had been fighting over Haynes wanting to use her vehicle, and they were involved in a shoving match. Haynes admitted to putting dents in the vehicle and stated that Miller shoved him so he shoved her back. Haynes further stated that Miller picked up rocks and scratched his vehicle because she was mad at him. Destiny Rose Miller, 18, and Jeremy Lee Haynes, 25, 1096 Drag Strip Road, Belpre, will be charged with disorderly conduct through Marietta Municipal Court.

* On Oct. 24, Sgt. Parks was dispatched to the Reno Wash Tub Laundromat in Reno. The report came in that an individual was struck with a vehicle. Ronald Patterson had been treated by the Reno Squad, however, he refused to be transported to the hospital. Patterson stated he was in need of doing laundry and went to his Robert Bailey’s (his friend) place to do the washing. Patterson and Bailey got into an argument about using the machines, therefore Patterson packed the laundry and left the location, going to Reno to dry the clothes. While Patterson was at the business, Bailey showed up and continued the argument with Patterson, which became heated at one point. Patterson stated that Bailey got into his van while Patterson was standing in front of it and drove the van forward striking Patterson. Patterson reports he was struck hard enough to snap his head back. Bailey then backed up and sped away. Bailey was stopped by the Marietta Police Department, as he had been drinking and was taken for an OVI test. Deputies met with Bailey who confirmed almost the entire account of what had transpired, however, he denied striking Patterson with the vehicle. Robert Harlan Bailey, 61, 753 Glendale Road, Apt. 2, Marietta, was placed under arrest for assault and OVI.

* Robert Harlan Bailey, 61, 753 Glendale Road, Apt. 2, Marietta, assault and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, both misdemeanors.

* Rhonda Marie Talafhah, 52, 6800 Baker Road, Apt. 37, Athens, contempt of court, OVI and possession of drugs, all misdemeanors.

* Serina Lynnette Shilling, 49, Beverly, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

* Mark Everett Swaney, 53, homeless, criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.

* Lucas William Wharton, 40, homeless, criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.

* Regina Lynn Hoover, 55, 205 Seventh Street, Apt. 7, Beverly, unlawfully displaying or consume beer in Muskingum Park, a misdemeanor.

* Matthew Vernon Scott, 33, 221 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

* Charles Raymond Miller, 23, 910 Caywood Road, Marietta, parole violation, a felony.

* Isaac Martin, 49, 106 Meadow Crest Lane, Little Hocking, driving under the influence and failure to reinstate operator’s license, both misdemeanors.

* Donald Lee McMullen, 81, 109 Holly Drive, Elizabeth, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, a misdemeanor.

* Vickie Marie Thompson, 36, 114 Knox Street, Apt. 22, Marietta, theft of a motor vehicle, a felony.

* Shawn Aaron Cloninger, 33, 1803 Beaver Street, Parkersburg, breach of recognizance, possessing drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia, and illegal use of possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.

* Jarrod Michael File, 39, 3088 Chaucer Drive, Canton, Ohio, drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

* Casey Alexis Anderson, 23, 45437 Wiley Avenue, Caldwell, possession of drugs, a misdemeanor.
