Circuit Court
PARKERSBURG — The following case appeared in Wood County Circuit Court on Sept. 16:
* Akietta Parker, 27, Parkersburg, was sentenced Monday to one to 15 years in prison with credit for time served on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance.
Parker was indicted in January on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, two counts conspiracy to commit delivery of a controlled substance, two counts possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and keeping or maintaining a dwelling for the keeping of a controlled substance. Parker pleaded guilty in July to a delivery charge.
Wood Magistrate
PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Sept. 16:
* Three people were arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance, heroin, with intent to deliver following a Sunday traffic stop.
Deeshawn Dukes, 39, 2536 Meadowview Drive, Parkersburg; Shawnique Cierra Hudson, 31, 203 Easton St., Beckley; and William Darnell Wilson, 49, 6550 Hillcroft St., Apt. 306, Houston, Texas, were arrested after a Parkersburg Police officer stopped a vehicle for defective equipment, expired motor vehicle inspection and no seat belts for the driver and front passenger.
The officer smelled the odor of marijuana, and Hudson, who was behind the wheel, admitted to smoking marijuana before driving, the criminal complaint says. Dukes and Wilson were passengers. A search of the vehicle yielded 26 individually packaged stamps of heroin, $1,000 in cash, a loaded Ruger LCP .380 handgun and 95 counterfeit $100 bills.
Dukes, Hudson and Wilson were being held on $200,000 bonds.
* Darrell Edward Madison, 29, 1609 19th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of DUI with injury and released on a $5,000 surety bond. Madison was reportedly under the influence of Xanax, for which he did not have a prescription, when his Ford F-150 was involved Sunday evening in a collision with a Toyota sedan, whose juvenile occupants were taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
* Russell Lee Traugh, 36, 1905 Plum St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of petit larceny and released on a $4,000 personal recognizance bond.
* Sara Marie Hopkins, 27, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on a $2,000 surety bond.
* Michael Anthony Forman, 38, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of violation of a domestic violence protection order and released on a $2,000 surety bond.
* Robert Wayne Parsons, 31, 2758 Meadowview Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing and battery of a police officer and released on a $2,000 surety bond.
* James Albert Lipscomb, 44, 2304 Lynn St., downstairs apartment, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of receiving/transferring a stolen vehicle and released on a $10,000 surety bond.
* Joyce Urbaniak, 67, 951 29th St., Apt. 1, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of overtaking/passing a school bus and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Tyler Ray Hutchinson, 25, 964 Leachtown Lane, Walker, was arraigned on charges of aggravated driving under the influence and no insurance and released on a $4,000 surety bond.
* Samantha Jo Paugh, 32, 7667 Pike St., Lot 3, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on charges of first- and second-offense shoplifting and two counts of trespassing and released on a $4,000 surety bond.
* Charles Ray Mackey, 37, care of 2428 17th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on three counts of battery and one count of obstructing and bond was set at $4,000 surety.
* Kenneth Allen Bailey, 31, 907 Neal St., Apt. 1, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of forgery and uttering and held on a $5,000 surety, and his bond was set at $5,000 surety.
* Cory Allen Ash, 27, 315 Dempsie Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of destruction of property and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.
* Janessa Nicole Woods, 35, 1412 42nd St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving on a license revoked for DUI and bond was set at $1,000 cash.
* Anastasia Athena Tucker, 21, Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on a $5,000 surety bond.
* Richard K. Wilson, 52, 635 Liberty St., Apt. A, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of overtaking/passing a school bus and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Nellie Ann Vincent, 61, 2304 Lynn St., downstairs apartment, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing and released on a $1,000 surety bond.
* Anthony Charles Smith, 34, 816 Reed St., Apt. 4, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a shoplifting charge and was released on $1,000 bond.
* Lacole Deann Dalrymple, 32, 126 Ruble Road, Belleville, was arraigned on a charge of receiving/transferring a stolen vehicle and bond was set at $3,500.
* Nathan Joseph Hughes, 41, Parkersburg, had a burglary charge dismissed because the victim was unavailable.
* Mary E. Shepard, 48, 789 Franklin St., Elizabeth, pleaded no contest to defective equipment and was assessed $180.25 in fines and court costs.
* Joshua Ryan Ayers Jr., 19 415 Henderson Ave., Williamstown, pleaded guilty to speeding and was assessed $180.25 in fines and court costs.
* Timothy James Perkins, 28, Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on $1,500 bond.
* Jessica Jo McGee, 32, 718 Eighth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on an obstructing charge and was released on $1,500 bond.
* Dakota Ski Acores, 25, 173 Riverview Estate, Lot 36, St. Marys, was arraigned on charges of overloaded personal watercraft and expired registration and was released $250 bond.
* Eric Zacharich Hardman, 27, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to no insurance and was assessed $370.25 in fines and court costs. He pleaded guilty to second-offense driving under suspension, expired motor vehicle inspection and expired registration and was assessed $625.75 in fines and court costs.
* Shannon Marie Ewing, 31, Parkersburg, had a domestic battery charge dismissed due to the victim not being available.
Wood Sheriff
PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Sept. 16:
* Between Sept. 13-16, deputies responded to 201 calls.
* On Sept. 13, Sara Lea Myers, 39, of Ross Road, was cited for driving under suspension.
* On Sept. 13, Kimberly Cerie Davis, 26, of Dempsie Avenue, was cited for driving under suspension.
* On Sept.13, James Albert Lipscomb, 44, of Lynn Street, was served with a warrant for fugitive from justice as he was a wanted person out of Roanoke, Va., for revocation of a robbery charge.
* On Sept. 13, Cory Allen Ash, 27, of Dempsie Avenue, was arrested on a warrant for destruction of property issued through the Parkersburg Police Department.
* On Sept. 14, deputies responded to a vehicle crash on Staunton Turnpike where Tyler Ray Hutchinson, 25, of Leachtown Lane, was arrested on charges of aggravated DUI and no insurance.
* On Sept. 15, deputies responded to Meadowview Drive in reference to a verbal altercation. Robert Wayne Parsons, 31, of Meadowview Drive, was arrested on charges of obstructing an officer and battery on a law enforcement officer.
Washington Sheriff
MARIETTA — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Sept. 16:
* On Sept. 10, Deputy J. McConnell began an investigation into a credit card theft/misuse investigation. This case remains under investigation.
* On Sept. 10, Sabrina Seevers was brought to the Washington County Jail. During the intake process, four plastic bags were located within the toilet. Within one of the bags was a rock of suspected methamphetamine. Through investigation Deputy Kehl determined that Seevers had placed the contraband in the toilet. Seevers also tore the bags open and attempted to flush them. Sabrina Dawn Seevers, 39, 1321 39th Street, Parkersburg, is being charged with illegal conveying into a detention facility, possession of drugs, trafficking in drugs and tampering with evidence.
* On Sept. 12, Sgt. Reeder began a began an investigation into a credit card theft/misuse investigation. This case remains under investigation.
* On Sept. 12, Deputy Young was dispatched to meet with a victim regarding a telephone communication complaint. Roger Sims had sent a text message to the victim on this date. Earlier in the month the victim contacted the Sheriff’s Office in reference to a similar complaint on Sims. Contact was made with Sims at that time not to have any further contact with the victim or he possibly could be charged with telecommunications harassment. Attempts on Sept. 12 to meet with Sims were unsuccessful. A summons is being requested for Roger Lee Sims, 52, 1683 Darnold Road, Vincent, on a charge of telecommunications harassment.
* On Sept. 13, Deputy Carr issued a citation to Barry C. Hulbert, 48001 Mellott Ridge Road, Beallsville, Ohio, for speeding, 44 mph in a 20 mph school zone.
* On Sept. 13, Deputy Young was dispatched to Marietta Township in reference to a report of an assault. Deputy Young conducted the investigation, speaking with all parties involved. Deputy Young placed Osten M. Hartshorn, 26, 180 Cornerville Road, Reno, under arrest for assault. Hartshorn was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
* On Sept. 14, Sgt. McKee responded to 629 Briggs Hill Road, Belpre, regarding a complaint. Jill Keller stated she was in an argument with her son, Bradly Flesher, where he was demanding money for alcoholic beverages. Keller went into the bathroom and Flesher tried to force his way into the bathroom. Keller tried to escort Flesher out of the bathroom and in return, Flesher began to strike her multiple times by swinging both of his arms at her. Witnesses nearby heard the commotion and called for law enforcement. Flesher stated he never touched his mother, however during a second interview, admitted he did not disclose the incident in the bathroom when first talking to officers. Flesher continued to deny striking his mother. Bradly David Flesher, 23, Belpre, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
* On Sept. 13, Deputy A. McConnell, while at the Washington County Jail, received a warrant from Circuit Court, Pleasants County, for the arrest of Michael Phillip Miller, 51, on a misdemeanor charge for probation violation. The jail records were checked with the warrant information, finding Miller to be the individual in the warrant. A charge of fugitive from justice was filed on Miller and he was supplied with a copy of those charges.
* On Sept. 14, Deputy Young responded to Forshey Road, Marietta, in reference to a CPO violation. Joe Schofield obtained a protection order in 2018 due to ongoing civil disagreements with Malinda Giovannelli. Joe Schofield reported text messages he has been receiving from Giovannelli since May 21, 2019, and continuing up to this date. A warrant is being requested for Malinda M. Giovannelli, 36, 1983 Longwell Road, Brockway, Pa,, on a charge of violating a protection order.

* Timothy Alan Reno, 30, 676 Horsecreek Rd, Seneca, Pa., driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, no seatbelt, and improper lane usage, all misdemeanors.
* Jelisa Sibrehna Brown, 22, 304 Elm Street, Belpre, disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.
* Trice Jahorme Daniell, 32, 1855 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, trafficking in drugs and receiving proceeds of an offense subject to forfeiture, both felonies.
* Jason Scott Slonaker, 40, 316 Main Street, New Matamoras, probation violation, a felony.
* William Roland Talkington, 32,1205 County House Lane, Apt. B, Marietta, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
* Chad Edward Stock, 26, 255 Front Drive, New Matamoras, theft and possessing drug abuse instruments, both misdemeanors.
* Osten Michael Hartshorn, 26, 180 Cornerville Road, Reno, assault, a misdemeanor.
* Bradly David Flesher, 23, Belpre, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
* Shawn Paul Tackitt, 39, Oklahoma City, Okla., driving under suspension, stop light/sign violation, OVI alcohol, drug of abuse or both, all misdemeanors, and fugitive from justice.
* Velinda Kay Mantz, 41, 265 McCormick Hill Road, New Matamoras, driving under suspension, and failure to transfer, both misdemeanors.
* Jarod Joseph Bennett, 21, homeless, complicity to breaking and entering, a felony.
* Christopher Jay Richards, 19, 1067 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, felonious assault, a felony, failing to yield at a stop sign, and no operator’s license, both misdemeanors.
* Aaron J. Matthew Huseman, 32, Marietta, violating a protection order, a misdemeanor.
* Christopher Leonard Lott, 37, 150 Camelot Road, Lot 28, Belpre, possession of drugs, a misdemeanor.
* Grant Michael Nolen, 19, 112 Sunset Lane, Marietta, menacing by stalking, a misdemeanor.
