Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — The following cases appeared in Wood County Cirucuit Court on May 6:

* Landry B. Smith, in custody, was sentenced Monday on a second-degree robbery charge to 5-18 years in prison with credit for time served. He was assessed court costs.

* Andrew Micah Glaspell, in custody, was sentenced Monday to one to five years in prison with credit for time served on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance, one to five years in prison on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and six years in prison on a charge of conspiracy to commit delivery of a controlled substance.

The sentences will run consecutively. He was also assessed court costs, fees and restitution.

* Debbie Lynn Haislep, of Parkersburg, was sentenced Monday to one to 10 years in prison on an uttering charge. The sentences were suspended for three years probation and she was assessed court costs and fees.

* Alyssa Marie Hackett, of Vienna, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of possession of a controlled substance, a lesser included offense. She was sentenced to six months in the regional jail, which was suspended for two years of probation.

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Circuit Court heard the following cases on May 7.

In Judge J.D. Beane’s Court:

* James Bee, 32, 330 Avery St., pleaded guilty to an information charge of conspiracy to enter without breaking, and will be sentenced on July 22 at 10 a.m.

In Judge Robert Waters’s Court:

* Jordan Marie Menking, 27, 615 17th St., Parkersburg, was not present on a fugitive charge out of Washington County for tampering with evidence. The court issued a capias and bond was revoked.

* Ronnie Lee Lockhart Jr., 25, in custody, pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and will be sentenced on July 11 at 9 a.m.

* William Trussell II, 32, last known address 4446 18th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and will be sentenced on July 10 at 1 p.m.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports May 6:

* Joseph Oliver Beaumier, 18, P.O. Box 5274, Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of nighttime burglary and bond was set at $10,000 surety.

* Ronald Paul Roman, 55, 1006 1/2 George St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine and heroin, with intent to deliver and bond was set at $41,000 cash.

* Emily R. Sigler, 24, 203 Fairview Drive, St. Marys, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense shoplifting and released on a $500 surety bond.

* Dillon Matthew Campbell, 21, of Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of domestic assault and bond was set at $500 surety.

* Robert Otis Powers, 48, 2206 Hackberry St., Akron, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, heroin and marijuana, with intent to deliver and one count of conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and bond was set at $40,000 cash.

* Jennie Iona Tranter, 40, 910 Summers St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense shoplifting and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Dane Anthony Mason, 40, c/o 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing and bond was set at $500 surety.

* Steven D. Miller, 46, 4315 Sayre Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of marijuana, less than 15 grams, and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Zachary Barnett, 32, 1006 1/2 George St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, heroin and meth, with intent to deliver and bond was set at $40,000 cash.

* Keith Aaron Slack, 37, 750 Virginia St., Waverly, was arraigned on charges of first-offense driving under the influence and discharging a firearm within city limits and released on a $3,000 bond. Slack reportedly told police he had struck a deer in his vehicle then shot it.

* Justin Kyle Tewkesbury, 31, 1725 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of trespassing and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Allen Lee Deem, 46, 1821 Spring St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of petit larceny and receiving/transporting stolen goods and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Shawn David Jones, 41, 47 Boggess St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, meth, with intent to deliver and bond was set at $25,000 surety.

* Brandon Michael Burdette, 25, 218 Chesterville Road, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting and obstructing and bond was set at $500 surety.

* Larry Brian Freed, 42, of Belpre, was arraigned on a charge of violating a protective order and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Kennith Allen Bay, 30, 225 Dempsey Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of destruction of property and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Zachary Paul Parsons, 25, 1348 Slate Run Road, Belleville, pleaded no contest to cell phone violation and was fined $100.

* Katherine Arnette Jean Harbison, 22, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstructing, was sentenced to time served and was assessed $210.25 in fines and court costs.

* Heath Bryne Greathouse, 41, 919 Moyer Ave., Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of threats of terroristic act and the case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Gina Nicole Hand, 49, 413 Eight St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to trespassing and was assessed $170.25 in fines and court costs.

* Dakota Lee Heckert, 20, 1334 Broadway Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and charges of obstruction and second-offense shoplifting and bond was set at $4,000.

* Michael Scott Kerns, 24, 1209 Paden St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension and improper stop and was assessed $425.50 in fines and court costs.

* Adam Kiger Cross, 35, 34 Louise Ave., West Union, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, was sentenced to six months probation and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Cora Elizabeth Butcher, 42, 805 Lilly Lane, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a child, was sentenced to 30 days jail suspended for one year of probation and 20 days community service and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Michelle Lee Fleming, 41, 713 Myrtle St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to failure to register on child abuse registry, was sentenced to 30 days jail with credit for time served and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Jill Marie Kunkle, 49, 1991 Old River Road, Williamstown, pleaded guilty to obstruction and was assessed $220.25 in fines and court costs.

* Zhane Dawn Cummings, 23, 347 East Dresden Ave., Akron, Ohio, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance and was assessed $345.50 in fines and court costs. and a civil penalty of $1,009.20.

* Lori Ann Ide, 47, 1102 24th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting, was sentenced to 90 days jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $170.25 in court costs and $159.98 in civil penalties.

* Nora Kay Cain, 45, 716 Franklin Ave., Apt. 2, Belpre, pleaded guilty to no insurance and was assessed $360.25 in fines and court costs.

* Nikki Leo Vanfossen, 34, 1988 Buckner Bend Road, Walker, pleaded guilty to obstruction, was sentenced to 60 days jail suspended for one year of probation with credit for time served and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Brandon A. Bennett, 33, 204 Tanner Lane, Walker, pleaded guilty to failure to register with child abuse registry and was assessed $410.25 in fines and court costs.

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on May 7.

* Farrah Minney, 25, 2102 Middle Fork Lee Creek Road, Belleville, pleaded guilty to speeding 64 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone. She was assessed $165.25 in court costs and fines.

* Carl Burner III, 38, 120 Pointe Drive, Lot 8, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of first-degree robbery after he was confronted at Kohl’s for shoplifting and he pulled a knife on the police officer. He is being held at the North Central Regional Jail with no bond.

* Jessica McGee, 32, 718 8th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting and was assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines and was ordered to pay a $370.50 civil penalty to the victim.

* Brandon Hershberger, 30, 2325 16th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, methamphetamine, and was released on a $500 surety bond.

* Christine Novaria -Jones, 55, 2540 Conla Palmer Road, Malta, Ohio, pleaded no contest to obedience to traffic control devices and was assessed $200.25 in court costs and fines.

* Christopher Streight, 32, 120 Ward St., Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Eric Whitlatch, 49, homeless, was arraigned on a charge of breaking and entering and is being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $7,500 surety bond.

* Donald Eugene Buckbee, 52, 29615 21st Ave., Apartment 2, Parkersburg, was dismissed on a charge of indecent exposure, because the alleged victim failed to appear.

* Danna Persinger Jr., 31, 1016 18th St., Apartment 6, Vienna, had her preliminary hearing waived on a charge of manufacturing, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture and deliver, methamphetamine. Her case has been bound over to Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Mickey Simmons Jr., 39, 1408 King St., Belpre, was given a guilty verdict by a bench trial on the charge of violation of a protective order and was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation and assessed $410.25 in court costs and fines.

* Daniel Thomas, 23, 605 Lulu St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while suspended or revoked, and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on a charge of no insurance. He was assessed $260.25 in court costs and fines.

* Jason Cline, 29, 2410 Plum St., Parkersburg, was dismissed on a charge of violation of a protective order because the victim failed to appear.

* James Bruce Jr., 34, 808 Wood St., Parkersburg, was dismissed without prejudice on the charges of driving while suspended or revoked, improper registration, no proof of insurance, defective equipment, and operating without inspection because the arresting officer failed to appear.

* Brian Moore, 43, 1010 Benton Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting, was assessed $285.25 in court costs and fines and was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the victim.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on May 6:

* On May 3, Joseph Oliver Beaumier, 18, of Bull Run Road, was arrested on charges of nighttime burglary and violation of a domestic violence protective order.

* On May 4, Emily Rene Sigler, 24, of Fairview Avenue, St. Marys, was arrested on a warrant for shoplifting.

* On May 4, Racheal Ann Bunner, 42, of Summers Street, was arrested on a charge of fugitive from justice issued through Medina County, Ohio.

* On May 4, Emily Rene Sigler, 25, of Fairview Drive, was arrested on a warrant for shoplifting.

* On May 4, John Thomas Ballway, 68, of 52nd Street, Vienna, was issued a citation for failure to obey a traffic control device (red light).

* On May 4, Larry Brian Freed, 42, of Sapphire Circle, was arrested on a warrant for violation of a domestic violence protective order.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports May 6:

* On April 30, deputies along with the Devola, Lowell Adams and Fearing Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to State Route 60, Lowell to a camper on fire.

*On May 3, Deputy Brown responded to State Route 339 to take a report of a missing license plate from a trailer. This case remains under investigation.

* On May 4, Deputy Reynolds met with Jerry Ford in reference to numerous items being taken from his business on Huck Road. This case remains under investigation.

* On May 4, Deputy Schwendeman was dispatched with Deputy Parks to meet with Valeria Ortiz regarding Keith Huff. It was reported that a verbal argument ensued between the two. After speaking with all parties involved Keith Allen Huff, 35, of Marietta, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

* On May 5, Deputy Schwendeman responded to the 300-block of Fifth Street, Lowell, to a report of a vehicle parked along the roadway with the engine running and running lights on. Two males were located asleep in the front seat. An odor of marijuana was detected as the windows were down. Observed was a partially smoked cigar on the console. The driver, Dillon Brooker, stated he and his passenger fell asleep while waiting on a friend who lived nearby. Both occupants admitted to smoking marijuana earlier that night, and Brooker stated the cigar contained marihuana. Brooker surrendered a cigar wrapper which contained suspected marihuana. A summons is being requested for Dillion Edward Brooker, 18, 711 Third Street, Marietta, for possession of marijuana.

* On May 6, the Parkersburg Police Department responded to 120 calls for service.

* Roy Tranter, 43, of Waverly, was arrested May 6 on a capias for failure to appear.

* Christopher Streight, 32, of Marietta, was arrested May 6 on a warrant for shoplifting.

* On May 6, officers responded to 14th Avenue in reference to an auto larceny.

* On May 6, officers responded to 13th Avenue in reference to a petit larceny that already occurred.

* On May 6, officers responded to Speedway on Division Street and cited Tracy Cline for possession of a controlled substance.

* On May 6, officers responded to 19th Street in reference to a burglary that already occurred.

* Albert Pike, 66, of Vienna, was cited for speeding, 46 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

* Mkayla Serpico, 22, of Parkersburg, was cited for speeding, 40 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.
