Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — The following case appeared in Wood County Circuit Court on Aug. 14:

* Emory Kelly Terrell, 42, Parkersburg, was sentenced Monday to 10 years in prison for violating his supervised release and on a charge of sexual assault in the third degree.

Terrell was indicted May 16, 2013, on seven counts of distribution of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. He pleaded guilty to three counts March 11, 2014, and was sentended May 29, 2014, to two years in prison on each count, to be served concurrently. He was released from prison March 24, 2017, and began his supervised release. A petition was filed May 18 to revoke his supervised release.

On Monday, Terrell admitted to allegations contained in the petition and pleaded guilty to the third-degree sexual assault charge which is in the process of being bound over to circuit court.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Aug. 14:

* Chasady Lynn Whipkey, 31, of 4107 Eighth Ave., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense shoplifting and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

* Michele Jean Davis, 39, of 1106 21st St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, with intent to deliver and released on a $15,000 surety bond.

* William Oran Hardman, 46, of 2809 1/2 28th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of/receiving a stolen vehicle and released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Gary Thomas Hall, 21, of 480 Egypt Run Road, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of fleeing in a vehicle while driving under the influence and released on a $10,000 bond.

* Justin Helmick, of 14 Rustic Acres, Spencer, was arraigned on three worthless check counts and released on a $300 personal recognizance bond.

* John Michael Gann, 35, of 720 Hill St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a protective order and bond was set at $1,000 cash.

* Bradley Allen Chaffin, 37, of 4110 13th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of fleeing on foot, obstructing and shoplifting and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* James Tibbs, 55, of 1000 Kemper St., Apt. 6, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of public intoxication and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Tracy Lynn Hill, 39, of 29 Blackwater Lane, Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, heroin, and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Stacy Lea Brock, 49, of 814 28th St., Vienna, was arraigned on a red light violation and a charge of not having an interlock device in her vehicle and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Connie Sue Bailey, 46, of 1115 15th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of battery and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Debbra Ann Whitten, 43, of 307 Lincoln Drive, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of first-offense DUI and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Ricky Lee Walker Jr., 37, of 12 Strawberry Lane, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of procuring electricity by device to defraud and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Waylon Franklin McCune, 43, of 615 Main St., Belpre, was arraigned on a charge of violation of protective order and bond was set at $1,000.

* Stephen William Gandee, 49, of 4409 Sayre Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and bond was set at $2,000.

* Eric Jason McCumbers, 45, of 1801 Avery St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting, brandishing and failure to render information and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Kayla Dawn Parham, 25, of 1787 Standing Stone Road, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing and was released on a $500 surety bond.

* Scott Michael Dye, 25, of 1457 Poplar Drive, Belpre, was arraigned on a charge of DUI and released on a $2,500 bond.

* Lesley Renee Bills, 40, of 1005 Stadium Drive, St. Marys, was arraigned on a charge of DUI and released on a $3,500 bond.

* Mark David Richard, 36, 186 Murphytown Circle, Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of possession of less than 15 grams of a controlled substance and was released on $500 bond.

* Philip Eugene Eddy, 36, 140 Washington Square, Williamstown, pleaded no contest to second-offense driving under suspension and no insurance and was assessed $670.50 in fines and court costs.

* Ethel Mae Townsend, 52, 169 Twin Lakes Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to leaving the scene and was assessed $185.25 in fines and court costs.

* Jennifer Lynn Bennett, 40, 2523 10th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension and no insurance and was assessed $620.50 in fines and court costs. She pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was assessed $360.89 in fines, court costs and restitution.

* Whitney Alicia Neal, 38, 1403 16th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was assessed $260.25 in fines, court costs and restitution.

* Brandon Michael Harshbarger, 28, 1205 Copler St., Belpre, was arraigned on a petit larceny charge and bond was set at $2,500.

* Zac Blaine Wilson, 25, 812 Wood St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a shoplifting charge and released on $500 bond.

* Joseph Matthew Joy, 30, 615 Lulu St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two capias warrants and released on $6,500 bond.

* RB William Grinter, 37, 2312 Clement Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and released on $1,500 bond.

* Michael Eugene Buskirk, 23, 2615 21st Ave., Apt. 7, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, was sentenced to 30 days in jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Scott Dewayne Bush, 37, 47 Elm St., Davisville, pleaded guilty to prohibited person possessing a firearm, was sentenced to 90 days in jail suspended for one year and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court costs.

* Charles Ray Mackey, 35, 8682 Harris Highway, Belleville, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, was sentenced to 30 days in jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Jack Andrew Williams, 43, 1355 Robertson Loop Road, Clarksville, Ga., pleaded guilty to no insurance and was assessed $360.25 in fines and court costs. He pleaded guilty to driving under suspension and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court costs.

* Jennifer Erin L’Minggio, 29, 7641 Pike St., Lot 11, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court costs.

* John Allen Sprouse, 30, 415 13th St., Apt. C, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was assessed $175.25 in fines and court costs and a civil penalty of $303.16.

* Keith Allen Joy, 50, 4616 Spruce Rise Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to petit larceny, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and was assessed $310.25 in fines and court costs.

Parkersburg Police

PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Police Department released the following reports Aug. 14:

* Between Aug. 11-13, the Parkersburg Police Department responded to 354 calls for service.

* Leslie Bills, 40, of St. Marys, was arrested Aug. 13 on a charge of first-offense driving under the influence.

* Kayla Parham, 25, of Elizabeth, was arrested Aug. 13 on a charge of obstructing and a warrant for petit larceny.

* John Gann, 35, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 13 on warrants for violation of protective orders.

* Michael Cales, 30, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 13 on warrants for reckless driving, fleeing from officers, improper registration and driving without a license.

* Zac Wilson, 25, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 13 on a warrant for shoplifting.

* Whitney Neal, 38, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 13 on a warrant for shoplifting.

* Michael Lewis, 30, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 13 on capias warrants for trespassing and possession of paraphernalia.

* Amber Pettry, 21, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 13 on a capias warrant for obstructing an officer.

* Ricky L. Walker Jr., 37, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 12 on warrants for procuring electricity with intent to fraud, second-offense driving under suspension and driving too fast for roadway conditions.

* Jeremiah Lyons, 35, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 12 for fugitive from justice.

* Christopher Bailey, 38, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 12 on a domestic violence bond violation charge.

* Connie Bailey, 46, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 12 on a warrant for battery.

* Curtis Davis, 43, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 12 on a capias warrant for possession of marijuana less than 15 grams.

* Bradley Chaffin, 37, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 12 on charges of fleeing and obstructing and on a warrant for shoplifting.

* William Hardman, 46, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 12 on a charge of possessing/receiving stolen vehicle.

* Judd Aurther-Michael Burke, 26, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 11 on a charge of domestic violence bond violation.

* Lindsey Buzzard, 24, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 11 on a warrant for burglary.

* On Aug. 12, officers responded to Seventh Street in reference to a destruction of property.

* On Aug. 12, officers responded to Plum Street in reference to a burglary in progress.

* On Aug. 12, officers cited James Bunner for possession of a controlled substance and driving revoked for DUI.

* On Aug. 11, officers responded to Walmart in reference to shoplifting.

* On Aug. 11, officers responded to George Street in reference to a breaking and entering that already occurred.

* On Aug. 11, officers responded to 31st Street in reference to a petit larceny that already occurred.

* On Aug. 11, officers responded to Walmart in reference to shoplifting and cited Paul Boling and Lindsey Buzzard.

* Between Aug. 11-13, officers investigated 12 motor vehicle accidents.

Williamstown Police

WILLIAMSTOWN — The Williamstown Police Department released the following reports Aug. 14:

Aug. 10

* Austin P. Faugl was cited for possession of marijuana on the lot of Ullman Auto Sales.

Aug. 11

* Lindsey M. Tornes, 27, of Marietta, was cited for driving on a suspended license and no seat belt following a traffic stop on West Third Street.

* Melissa Jarvis, of Williamstown, reported the theft of a 24 inch mongoose bicycle from her residence in the 600 block of Henderson Avenue. The bicycle was valued at approximately $150. The incident remains under investigation.

Aug. 12

* Adam J. Liston, 34, of Williamstown, was cited on a charge of speeding, 54 mph in a 35 mph zone on W.Va. 14.

* Nellie M. King, 18, of Williamstown, was cited on a charge of passing in a no passing zone on West Fifth Street.

* Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 800 block of Huggins Road. It was determined that this was only a verbal argument. Officers transported the male subject to a different location.

Aug. 13

* The 7-11 store located at 101 West Third St. reported a male suspect stole a 30 pack of Budweiser valued at $21.99 and fled the store on foot. An officer spotted the suspect walking on the Williamstown Bridge and attempted to stop the suspect. The suspect dropped the stolen beer and fled on foot towards Marietta. Officers from Washington County located the suspect and subsequently took the suspect into custody on separate charges as he was uncooperative and combative with officers. Joey Dean Thomas, 27, of Parkersburg, was placed in the Washington County Jail. The Williamstown Police Department has obtained warrants on Thomas on charges of petit larceny and fleeing from an officer in West Virginia.
