Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases appeared in Wood County Magistrate Court on June 26:

* April Ann Ellis, 42, of 506 34th St., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of first-offense shoplifting, battery and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and released on a $1,400 bond.

* Justin T. Johnson, 25, of 1000 Kemper St., Apt. 4, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of destruction of property and released on a $500 bond.

* Stephen Paul Garner, 34, of 1210 Broadway Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of petit larceny and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* James Gordon Lake, 29, of 600 Ann St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of fleeing with reckless indifference and receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle and bond was set at 20,000.

* Tammy Diana Wheaton, 47, of 501 21st St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of grand larceny and bond was set at $2,500.

* Jason Matthew Grimes, 40, of 88 Odell Lane, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Philip Earl Cownden, 48, of 905 Seventh St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of second-offense driving on a license revoked for driving under the influence and possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Lisa Lee Runnion, 21, of 204 Tennis Center Drive, Apt. 7, Marietta, care of 3300 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta, was arraigned on four counts of possession of a controlled substance — meth, marijuana, hydrocodone and suboxone — and was released on a $2,000 surety released.

* Derek Douglas Oldfield, 31, of 1403 Broadway Ave., Apt. 2, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance, meth, and second-offense driving on a suspended license and released on a $750 bond.

* Thomas David Knox III, 36, of 550 Seven Pines Road, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of domestic assault and released on a $500 bond.

* Raymond Thomas Ezell Jr., 43, of 1315 16th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct, obstruction and battery and released on an $1,100 bond.

* Wesley Orland Roberts, 25, of 2070 Roberts Road, Amesville, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery, second-offense driving on a suspended license, reckless driving and no insurance and released on a $1,400 bond.

* Irvin William Carson, 44, of 1009 18th St., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence and no operator’s license and released on a $700 bond.

* John James Jeffers Jr., 33, of 1107 Park St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct and released on a $500 bond.

* Shaun W. Crites, 38, of 615 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, meth, and bond was set at $500.

* Matthew Alexander Hardesty, 39, of 14 Meadowbrook Acres, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of trespassing and possession of a controlled substance, meth, and released on a $600 bond.

* Timothy Allen Moore, 26, of 2289 Pond Creek Road, Belleville, was arraigned on charges of first-offense aggravated DUI, expired registration and no proof of insurance and released on a $700 bond.

* Taylor Nicole Small, 24, of 50 Pribble Lane, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was assessed $170.25 in fines and court costs and ordered to pay $70 in restitution. She also pleaded guilty to possession of less than 15 grams of meth and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended for one year of probation, and assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Thomas Eugene Stevens III, 37, of 51 Ridgewood Drive, Williamstown, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended for one year of probation, and assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Ralph Edward Jones, 27, of 4012 Ninth Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstructing an officer and was assessed $210.25 in fines and court costs.

* Latoya Ann Robinson, 38, of 4001 1/2 10th St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to DUI and was sentenced to time served and assessed $335.25 in fines and court costs.

* Christopher Bailey, 38, of 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to false pretenses and was sentenced to 60 days in jail suspended for one year of probation, assessed $160.25 in court costs and ordered to pay $49 in restitution.

* Chadrick Arnold Parsons, 43, of 68 Meadowbrook Acres, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was assessed $200.25 in fines and court costs, plus a $50 civil penalty.

* Christine Jane Lyons, 22, of 2511 Oak St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and shoplifting and was sentenced to 90 days in jail suspended for one year of probation and assessed $350.50 in fines and court costs, plus a $63.78 civil penalty.

* Timothy Lee Chancellor, 41, of 641 Wright Road, Walker, pleaded no contest to aggravated DUI and was sentenced to 48 hours in jail and assessed $455.25 in fines and court costs.

* Chad Everett Flores, 46, of 34 Wildwood Drive, Apt. 101, Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle and bond was set at $5,000.

* Tommie Jeanice Williams, 40, of 12247 Energy Highway, Bens Run, W.Va., pleaded guilty to no insurance and was assessed $360.25 in fines and court costs.

* Tyler Lee Steele, 20, of 904 37th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Theresa Ann Heckert, 49, of 1323 Locust Ridge Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to speeding 57 mph in a 35 mph zone and was assessed $165.25 in fines and court costs.

* Desiree Jane Malone, 27, of 1023 Limestone Road, St. Marys, pleaded guilty to cell phone use while driving and defective equipment and was assessed $265.25 in fines and court costs.

* Nathan Scott Brannon, 23, of 88 Odell Lane, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, meth, and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Christian Jean Price, 50, of 2028 17th St., Apt. 12, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, fentanyl, and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Michael Chad Owens, 34, of 801 Myrtle St., Parkersburg, waived preliminary hearings on six charges of entry of a building other than a dwelling, and bond was set at $50,000.

* Robert Clay Edwards, 42, of 410 Point Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Jeremy Heath Ryan, 24, of 638 Hope Hill Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to no seat belt and was fined $25.

* Jerrell Jamar Barnes, 27, of 1312 14th St., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of speeding and possession of a controlled substance, less than 15 grams, and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Derek Kyle Vanscoy, 27, of 2736 Petroleum Road, Petroleum, was arraigned on charges of fleeing in a vehicle, improper registration and no insurance and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Bradley Hall Anderson, 26, of 1507 Avery St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of destruction of property and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Amanda D. Carter, 27, of 4022 Henry Camp Road, St. Marys, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on a $1,500 bond.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports June 26:

* On June 23, a citation was issued to Thomas Eugene Higgs, 59, of the Economy Inn, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.

* On June 24, a deputy responded to the Golf Club of West Virginia on Deerwalk Highway in reference to a hit and run that had occurred in the parking lot. The driver was identified, located and a citation was issued to Richard Matthew Casto, 45 of Seventh Avenue, Vienna, on charges of expired operators and leaving the scene.

* On June 24, a citation was issued to Kristina Ladena Morriston, 40, of 19th Avenue, on an expired registration charge.

* On June 24, a citation was issued to Alisha J. O’Connor, 37, of Vanbergen Avenue, Marietta, on charges of driving while using an electronic communication device and no insurance.

* On June 24, a citation was issued to Derek Lee Miller, 28, of Slate Creek Road, Elizabeth, on a driving under suspension charge.

* On June 25, Troy Brett Shaffer, 40, of 32nd Street, Vienna, was taken into custody on a bailpiece for battery. He was transported to the Holding Center and placed.

* On June 25, deputies responded to Meadowbrook Acres in reference to subjects trespassing after having been evicted from a trailer. April Ann Ellis, 42, of Meadowbrook Acres, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and trespassing. Ellis was also taken into custody on warrants for battery, shoplifting, public intoxication, trespassing as well as two capias. Matthew Alexander Hardesty, 39, of Meadowbrook Acres, was also arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and trespassing. A further check also showed a warrant issued out of Raleigh County for embezzlement.

* On June 25, Derek Kyle Vanscoy, 27, of Petroleum Road, Petroleum, was arrested on charges of fleeing from a police officer in a vehicle, improper registration and no insurance.

Parkersburg Police

PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Police Department released the following reports June 26:

* Between June 23-25, the Parkersburg Police Department responded 357 calls for service.

* Lisa Lee Runnion, 21, of Marietta, was arrested June 23 for outstanding capias warrants and four counts possession of a controlled substance.

* Derek Douglas Oldfield, 31, of Parkersburg, was arrested June 23 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and second-offense driving while license suspended.

* William Eric George, 42, of Parkersburg, was arrested June 24 on a warrant for fugitive from justice.

* Raymond Thomas Ezell, 43, of Parkersburg, was arrested June 24 on charges of battery, obstructing and disorderly conduct.

* Wesley Orland Roberts, 25, of Parkersburg, was arrested June 24 for driving while license suspended/revoked, first-offense domestic battery, reckless driving and no insurance.

* Irvin Carson, 44, of Vienna, was arrested June 24 on a charge of first-offense driving under the influence.

* Bradley Hall Anderson, 26, of Parkersburg, was arrested June 26 on a warrant for battery and destruction of property.

* Jeremy Richards, 27, of Parkersburg, was cited June 23 on charges of public intoxication and first-offense shoplifting.

* Eddie Starcher, 50, of Williamstown, was cited June 23 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

* Russell Flinn, 51, of Parkersburg, was cited June 23 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

* Michael Myers, 26, of Zanesville, Ohio, was cited June 23 on an obstructing charge.

* Joshua Whitlock, 39, of Parkersburg, was cited June 24 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

* Brent Joyce, 42, of Parkersburg, was cited June 25 on charges of public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.

* Joyce Shepherd, 33, of Cutler, was cited June 25 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

* On June 23, officers responded to Hardees on Pike Street in reference to a petit larceny that had already occurred.

* On June 23, officers responded to Avery Street in reference to a burglary that has already occurred.

* On June 24, officers responded to Parkersburg Police Department Headquarters in reference to a petit larceny that had already occurred.

* On June 25, officers responded to Family Dollar on Dudley Avenue in reference to a shoplifting that had already occurred.

* On June 25, officers responded to Norwood Avenue in reference to a fraudulent scheme.

* On June 25, Darren Alkire reported his license plate stolen from his vehicle.

* On June 25, Stephen Blake reported his debit card stolen.

* Between June 23-25, officers investigated seven motor vehicle accidents.

Williamstown Police

WILLIAMSTOWN — The Williamstown Police Department released the following reports June 26:

JUNE 23

* James Allen Dragoo, 36, of Parkersburg, was arrested on a charge of third-offense driving on a suspended license on W.Va. 14. Dragoo was convicted of a first offense in September 2016 and a second offense in May 2017. Dragoo was arraigned at Wood County Magistrate Court and released after posting bond.

JUNE 24

* Joel Patrick Bartimus, 23, of Stockport, was cited on charges of speeding, 52 mph in a 35 mph zone, and no insurance on W.Va. 14.

* Cody A. Naylor, 19, of Parkersburg, was cited on charges of no seat belt, improper registration and no insurance on Highland Avenue.

* Samantha K. Poole, 46, of Parkersburg, was cited on a charge of expired registration on Highland Avenue.

* Seth M. Fullerton, 28, of Parkersburg, was cited on a charge of expired motor vehicle inspection on Highland Avenue.

JUNE 25

* Misty D. Martin, 28, of Vincent, was cited on charges of possession of controlled substances and permitting no operators on Hotel Road off of Highland Avenue.

* Matthew Ronald Foraker, 33, of Belpre, was cited on charges of second-offense driving on a suspended license and no insurance on Hotel Road off of Highland Avenue.
