MARIETTA — Beginning Thursday, the Marietta Bike Path will be closed for one week to allow for cleaning and sanitation of the sewer line.

According to the Marietta City Engineering Department, the bike path will be closed during the day and will reopen to the public starting at 5 p.m. and on the weekend.

“The bike path will be fully opened again next Thursday,” said Project Manager Amanda Rinehart. “And it’s open this weekend since sanitation doesn’t work on weekends.”

Bikers and walkers can expect to enjoy the bike path in the evening or on the weekend. In one week, the path will be fully accessible once again.

Starting at $2.99/week.
