West Virginia DOH awards contracts
CHARLESTON — Two highway projects in the region were among the more than $60 million in contracts awarded by the state of West Virginia, the Division of Highways announced on Tuesday.
They were to: PDK Construction Inc., low bidder of $468,742.80 to replace guardrails on W.Va. 2 in Tyler County; and Strawser Construction Inc., low bidder of $1,355,657.21 on a paving project on Interstate 79 from Amma to the Big Sandy Creek overpass in Roane County.
The contract awards included 11 bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects and nine paving projects, the highways department said. The projects were bid on Oct. 8.
