PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Aug. 12:

* Brian Franklin Knight Jr., 1713 Staunton Ave., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for charges of breaking and entering (non-residence) and grand larceny. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Kendra Janelle Barber, 206 Brentwood St., Marietta, had charges of driving on a suspended license and possessing a controlled substance without a prescription dismissed as part of a deferred sentence agreement that she met all of the terms and conditions to.

* Jake Randel Springer, 84 Powell Drive Apt. 54, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a house and was fined $576.48.

* David Paul Hamilton, 664 Happy Valley Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and was fined $276.48. He had a charge of having no insurance dismissed.

* Michelle Carol Bennett, 2145 16th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of meth and was fined $186.48.

* Timothy Edward McComb, C/O 2510 Parkview Drive, Belpre, pleaded guilty to obstruction with threats of harm and was fined $276.48.

* Derak Shawn Cottrell, 1193 Dotson Memorial Rd., Palestine, W.Va., pleaded guilty to obstruction with threats of harm, DUI in impaired state with a BAC equal or greater than .15, leaving the scene of an accident with damage, fined $714.44 and sentenced to 90 days in jail with a credit of one day for time served. Charges of fleeing and disorderly conduct were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Casey Jay Cox, Washington, pleaded guilty to a domestic violence bond violation, was fined $426.48 and was sentenced to nine days in jail which was ruled as time served. He also pleaded guilty to failure to process and was fined $176.48. A charge of obstruction with threats of harm was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Alena Lola Dulaney, 2711 Linden St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $196.48. She was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to Sheetz and ordered to never return there. She also pleaded guilty to third-offense driving on a suspended license, was fined $336.48 and was placed on home confinement for 45 days.

* Rebecca Dawn Allen, 1507 30th St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was released on $1,000 bond.

* Amber Dawn Powell, 509 Ward St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstruction and was released on $500 bond.

* Alicia Dawnielle Daugherty, 702 32nd St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of having no operator’s license and having no insurance and was released on $500 bond.

* Christopher Maurice Davis, 825 Allyn St., Akron, was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver (fentanyl) and was held on $100,000 bond.

* Jasiah Latrel Connor, 1232 Swann St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of DUI with a BAC greater than .15 and having no insurance and was released on $700 bond.

* Bryan Leigh Britton, Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and was released on $500 bond.

* Wayne Patrick Schoenberger, 5461 State Route 821, Whipple, Ohio, pleaded no contest to speeding (70 mph in a 55 mph zone) and was fined $191.48.

* Rondall Wallace Grady, 2909 Ohio St., Saginaw. Mich., had a preliminary hearing waived on three counts of manufacture, deliver or possess with intent to deliver a Schedule I, II or III controlled substance. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Tyler Jeffrey Smith, c/o 157 Dade Road, Washington, had a charge of breaking and entering dismissed.

* William Michael Sims, 1115 E 12th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct and was released on $750 bond.

* Kaleb Ryan William Scott, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of breaking and entering and grand larceny and was released on $30,000 bond.

* Timothy Scott Warner, 615 13th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of indecent exposure, public intoxication and obstruction and was held on $1,000 bond.

* Cortney Renee Thomas, 1444 Jesterville Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of being a pedestrian illegally in a roadway, obstruction and fleeing from an officer on foot and held on $1,500 bond.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Aug. 13:

* Gail Diane Rowell, 1014 18th St. Apt 3, Vienna, pleaded guilty to failure to yield and no insurance and fined $562.96

* Paul Edgar Westfall, 745 Hill St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding (71 mph in a 55 mph zone) and was fined $181.48.

* Robert William Heiden, 1158 Pennike Rd., Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to speeding (97 mph in a 70 mph zone) and was fined $201.48.

* Angelo Nelson Stadtler, 1005 Hawthom St., Parkersburg, had a charge of violating a protective order dismissed as the alleged victim did not have an active protective order and did not appear in court.

* Brook Leann Brabham, 237 S Maple Drive, Mineral Wells, had charges of expired registration and no MVI dismissed.

* Kevin Wayne Conley, 1211 30th St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of strangulation. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Thomas Michael Jamison Jr., 409 Crescent St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of falsely reporting an emergency. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Crystal Leann Evans, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to petit larceny, fined $176.48 and was sentenced to six days in jail which was ruled as time served.

* Edward Ray Vandale, Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed because he is deceased.

* William Edward Vandal Jr, 177 Recter Drive, Creston, pleaded guilty to third-offense driving on a suspended license and having no proof of insurance, was fined $552.96 and was placed on home confinement for 30 days. Charges of having no registration and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Michelle Elizabeth Hutson, 1420 Spring St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and was fined $276.48. She had a charge of operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Todd Justin Twyman, Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice based on the alleged victim’s wishes.

* Aimee Brooke Wamsley, 49 Suzanne St., Little Hocking, was arraigned on charges of fishing without a license and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and was released on $500 bond.

* Jeremy Shane Miller, 105 36th St., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of speeding and second-offense driving on a suspended license and was released on $500 bond.

* Bryan Edward White, 1619 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense shoplifting and was released on $1,000 bond.

* Bradley Eugene Draper, 1112 George St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct, obstruction, fleeing, failure to process and five counts of assault of a police officer and was released on $3,500 bond.

* Alicia Dawn Whisner, Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and was released on $1,000 bond.

* Raymond Eugene Preston, 1662 Smith Road, Columbus, Ohio, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a fentanyl with intent to deliver and transporting fentanyl into the state and was held on $100,000 bond.

* Akietta Nichole Parker, 7497 Harris Hwy., Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of possession of a fentanyl with intent to deliver and transporting fentanyl into the state and was held on $75,000 bond.

* Megan Nicole Trefz, St. Marys, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and was released on $1,000 bond.
