PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on October 23:
* Aaron J. Smith, 2372 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, was arraigned on a charge of worthless check and released on $500 bond.
* Chase Grant Demoss, 1604 31st St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $500 bond.
* Shelby Lynn Hall, 1593 Love Hill Road, Waverly, was arraigned on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and released on $500 bond.
* Kasey Renne Heatherly, 5933 Alton Road, French Creek, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting, less than $500, and obstructing and released on $500 bond.
* Greg Lee Marks, 448 Joe’s Run Road, Burnsville, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense shoplifting and held on $1,000 bond.
* Amy Marie Mackey, 98 Dutch Hills Terrace Apt. 141, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of DUI-drugs and released on $5,000 bond.
* Nicholas Raymond Bowersock, 703 1/2 Locust St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession and released on $1,000 bond..
* Kaitlyn B. Bailey, 1101 14th St. Apt. 9, Vienna, was arraigned on charges of crash with bodily injury, possession of Meth and driving on a suspended license and released on $3,000 bond.
* David Ray Vest, 1710 Bird St, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats and being a fugitive from justice and held on $100,000 bond.
* Bryan Alan Knorr, 1014 Swann St. Apt. 2 Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and placed on one year of unsupervised probation with a credit of five days for time served. He had a charge of possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Douglas Clyde Deem, 265 New England Ridge Rd., Washington, had a charge of possession of a controlled substance dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Patrick Michael Knight, 2223 16th St., Parkersburg, had a charge of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle dismissed without prejudice.
* Carolyn Jean Hornish, 1006 Swann St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to fraud in relation to an access device, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and placed on three months of unsupervised probation.
* Travis Allen Scarbrough, 555 Ross Road, Little Hocking, pleaded guilty to accidents involving damage to vehicle, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 10 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months of unsupervised probation. A charge of driving on a suspended license was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Heidi Anne Huck, 816 Wood St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to simple possession of heroin, fined $170.25 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on six months of unsupervised probation. She had a deferred sentence of 12 months. Her participation in the LEADS program was revoked.
* Heather Marie Boyles, 3705 8th Ave., Parkersburg, had a charge of misdemeanor violation of a protective order dismissed with prejudice per the defense argument.
* JD Lambert, 354 Skinner Holler Road, Wallace, had a charge of no timbering notification dismissed as the state does not wish to go forward.
* Ryan Keith Vincent, 5 8th Ave. Lot 35, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $181.48. Charges of driving on a suspended license, no insurance and expired registration were dismissed.
* Sarah Beth Wright, 628 1/2 33rd St., pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $211.48. She was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $50 to Hallmark at the Grand Central Mall.
* Brian Michael Sams, 451 Alpine St., Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to prohibitions on open dumps and fined $276.48.
* Anna Jane Plauche, 1308 Saint Marys Ave., Parkersburg, had a charge of possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription dismissed as the state did not wish to go forward with the case.
* Brandi S. Griswold, 43 Mitchells Court, Washington, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.
* Ronald Todd Grimm, 4107 9th Ave., Parkersburg, had a charge of strangulation dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victim did not appear.
* Tommy Wayne Fluharty, 1717 Beaver St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to violation of a protective order, fined $436.48 and sentenced to four days in jail which was credited as time served.
* Tyreese Kobie Hunt, 1405 Poplar St, Belpre, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and fined $201.48. A charge of no registration was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Cody A. Pence, 316 Tod Avenue SW, Warren, Ohio, pleaded guilty to a construction zone traffic violation (going more than 15 mph) and fined $216.48.
* Travis Leroy Roberts, 8421 Oak Dr. NE, Charlotte, pleaded guilty to speed limitations and fined $181.48.
* Lashannon N. Grimes, 828 Fulton Rd., Canton, Ohio, pleaded no contest to speeding and fined $196.48.
* Caroline Madison Tebay, 34 Westwood Dr., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to failure to stop at a traffic control sign and fined $181.48. A charge of possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription was dismissed as the officier no longer wanted to pursue it.
* Dean Troy Richard, 50095 County Road 186, Fresno, Ohio, pleaded no contest to no IFTA/MCRT decal and fined $226.48.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Oct. 24:
* Lacey Marie Reynolds, 887 Wright Road, Walker, pleaded guilty to no seat belt and fined $25.A charge of having no proof of insurance.
* George R. Montgomery III, 3367 Loomis Ridge Rd. Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to no seat belt (CMV), using a cell phone without a hands-free device and fined $125.
* Kathryn M. Fletcher, 62 Center St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to having an improperly equipped vehicle and having no motorcycle endorsement and fined $372.96.
* Angela Elizabeth Boggs, 916 Virginia St., Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $186.48.
* Debra D. Marks, 101 Sams Lane, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to having no seat belt and fined $25.
* James Lee Hall, 1509 Covert St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of strangulation and released on $5,000 bond.
* Tyanna N. Martin, 904 Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to trespassing and obstruction and fined $432.96. She had a charge of public intoxication dismissed.
* Levi Travis Harris, 806 Spring Run Road, Arnoldsburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $226.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on unsupervised probation for one year. Another charge of possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Mitchell Allan Edwards, 851 Eli Locust Rd. Washington, had a charge of battery dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victim does not wish to pursue.
* Anthony Mitchel Morris, 67980 St. Rt. 124, Reedsville, Ohio, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $201.48. He was ordered to pay a $162.76 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna.
* Angela Dawn Anderson, 2388 Blennerhassett Heights, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription and fined $201.48.
* Madison Cofer Williams Jr., 515 Shiloh Road, Waverly, pleaded guilty to having no seat belt and fined $25. A charge of having an unsafe and improperly equipped vehicle was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Samuel Austin McMillion, 1604 Paul St. Apt. D, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to reckless driving, was fined $211.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months of unsupervised probation. Restitution will remain open for 60 days.
* Christopher Allen Streight, 221 South Sixth St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting and fined $196.48. He was ordered to pay a $177.76 civil penalty to the Walmart in Vienna. A charge of trespassing was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Keenan Wish Mills, 1609 Hill St. Apt. 8, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to destruction of property and fleeing from law enforcement, fined $552.96 and sentenced to one year in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. The sentences for both charges will run concurrent.
* Shawn Nicholas Smith, 405 13th St. Apt. C, Parkersburg, had a charge of burglary dismissed.
* Michael Stephen Baugh, 1210 10th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second offense shoplifting, fined $276.48 and sentenced to a year in jail which was suspended and placed on two years of unsupervised probation.
* Melissa Dawn Balderson, 4815 North Torch Rd. Coolville, had a preliminary hearing waived for transporting an illegal substance into jail. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Denarrius Travion Strong, 2993 Dutch Ridge Road, Apt. 13, Parkersburg, had a charge of no operator’s license dismissed.
