Authorities arrest four after search warrant in Meigs County

POMEROY — Four people were arrested on outstanding warrants from counties on both sides of the Ohio River after the execution of a search warrant this week in Meigs County.
The warrant stemmed from a theft in Jackson County, according to a release from the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and members of the Southeast Major Crimes Task Force executed the warrant Wednesday at 23236 Hill Road in Letart Township, the release said. One individual was found inside the garage on the property, while three people inside the residence failed to comply with orders given by officers and were found hiding inside a closet and in bedrooms.
Upon a search of the residence, multiple stolen items, firearms, counterfeit money and a large quantity of methamphetamine were found.
The release said Christopher Schoolcraft was arrested on outstanding warrants through the Meigs County Common Pleas Court and Jackson County. Jessica Anderson was arrested on a charge of obstructing official business and an outstanding warrant through Jackson County. Steven Anderson was arrested on a charge of obstructing official business and warrants through Meigs and Noble counties. Marisha Murphy was arrested on outstanding warrants through Meigs County.
Further charges as a result of the search warrant are pending, the release said.
