PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court Aug. 18:

* Ernest Wade Boley, 2805 Birch St. Lot #25, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting, and fined $180.25. He was ordered to pay a $967.94 civil penalty to the Parkersburg Rural King store and not to ever return to the store. He also pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, fined $170.25 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.

* Joseph Scott Radcliff, 1206 Lynn St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to inhaling intoxicates, fined $180.25 and sentenced to six months in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. He had a charge dismissed of breathing, inhaling or drinking certain intoxicating compounds.

* Austin Clifton Bowen, 6204 East Gate Rd., Huntington, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $180.25. He was ordered to pay a $79.94 civil penalty to the Vienna Wal-Mart store.

* Ronald Aaron Sartin II, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of a domestic violence protective order violation and released on $500 bond.

* Steven Lee Polsley, Parkersburg, 4449 18th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and held on $1,000 bond.

* Harley Hurst, 432 West Myles Ave., Pennsboro, was arraigned on a charge of worthless check and released on $500 bond.

* Casey Troy Carpenter, 1008 5th St. Apt. 1, Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,000 bond.

* Casey Steven Taylor, 4060 Sugar Run Road, Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,000 bond.

* Daniel Adam Satow, 1813 Staunton Turnpike, Parkersburg pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $175.25. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed.
