Authorities investigating Parkersburg shooting
PARKERSBURG — Parkersburg Police are investigating a bullet that struck a house early Thursday morning.
Officers responded at 2:36 a.m. Thursday to the area of 13th Street and St. Marys Avenue in reference to a possible gunshot, Police Chief Matthew Board said. It was found that a residence had been struck, but no one was injured.
“It does not appear the residence was a target, and they had been inadvertently struck,” Board said.
The incident is being investigated by the department’s Detective Bureau. Board said the public at large is not in danger.
