More candidates file for West Virginia offices
PARKERSBURG — Candidates continued to file for state offices in the 2022 election Wednesday.
* Parkersburg resident Jody Murphy, the former head of the Pleasants County Chamber of Commerce and a candidate in the 2020 gubernatorial primary, filed to run for the District 3 West Virginia Senate seat, which would represent Wood, Wirt, Ritchie and Pleasants counties.
* Republican Charles R. Sheedy Sr. of Cameron filed to run for the House of Delegates District 7, which includes part of Marshall County and northern Wetzel County.
* Jonathan Adam Pinson of Point Pleasant filed to run as a Republican in House District 17, which covers portions of Jackson and Mason counties.
