PARKERSBURG — The body of a deceased man was found Wednesday morning at Corning Park in Parkersburg, the police department said.

Foul play is not suspected, the police department said. The body was sent to the State Medical Examiner in Charleston for an autopsy to determine the cause of death, the department said.

The body has been identified as a Wood County man and the department is in the process of notifying the next of kin, police said.

Patrolmen and detectives responded around 8 a.m. to the park on Staunton Avenue, W.Va. 47.
