Narcotics task force arrests two on drug charges

PARKERSBURG — Two Parkersburg residents were arrested Wednesday in connection with drug sales.

Surveillance at the Economy Inn on Seventh Street in Parkersburg conducted by the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force led to the arrest of Alexander Levi Perdue, 32, 4 Randolph Drive, Parkersburg, and Kaitlin Nicole Pryor, 27, 509 Ward St., Parkersburg, according to a criminal complaint filed with the Wood County Magistrate Court.

Pryor allegedly delivered heroin/fentanyl to a confidential informant in Parkersburg and during the transaction, the informant had monitoring equipment, the complaint said.

After the transaction, the informant met with agents of the narcotics task force and brought “an amount of chunk and powder substance,” which was believed to be a heroin/fentanyl mixture, according to the complaint.

It was suspected Perdue had met with several people around the area of the room in question at the Economy Inn, which gave investigators “reason to believe that (Perdue) was distributing controlled substances on behalf of Kaitlin N. Pryor,” the complaint said.

Officers interviewed Perdue who admitted to delivering controlled substances, according to the complaint.

Earlier this year, Pryor was arrested for drug sales. She was driving and tried to elude officers. When officers pulled over the vehicle, the passenger had 33grams of methamphetamine in his possession.

Perdue is being charged with drug conspiracy, no insurance and defective equipment and Pryor is being charged with delivery of a controlled substance. The two were being held at North Central Regional Jail on $50,000 surety bonds.
