Wood County officials buy maintenance truck

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Commission on Thursday purchased a new truck for the maintenance department.

The old truck has 200,000 miles and will no longer pass inspection.

“It is more rust than truck,” Maintenance Supervisor Todd Nonamaker said.

The new truck is a 2020 Dodge Ram truck with a towing and load carrying capacity needed. It will cost around $25,000 through a state contract.

“There are no frills,” Nanmaker said. “It will get us to where we need to go and haul our equipment.”
