Parkersburg planning commission OKs zoning change

PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Municipal Planning Commission recently approved a petition by the owner of Pioneer Honda to rezone property on Park Street to allow for vehicle displays.

The commission voted 6-1 Friday to approve the request to change a recently acquired parcel at 1503 Park St. from a residential to a business zone, City Planner Janney Lockman said. The change would also apply to a portion of an adjacent lot that is zoned as residential, despite the rest of it being business.

The matter goes to Parkersburg City Council for approval, with the first reading expected Tuesday, Dec. 8.
