Bridge inspection to close lanes on I-77
PARKERSBURG — Bridges will be inspected today and Friday in Wood County, the West Virginia Division of Highways said.
The inspection of the Rockport I-77 Bridges northbound and southbound in Wood County will require northbound and southbound lane closures, the division said.
The bridges will be inspected between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Flaggers will be present on W.Va. 21 and significant delays are not expected for motorists on W.Va. 21 or I-77.
The Williamstown interchange bridge on I-77 also will be inspected from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Friday, the division said. Lane closures on I-77 and W.Va. 14 under I-77 are anticipated and will cause delays on W.Va. 14. No delays are expected on I-77.
Drivers are asked to reduce their speed, follow the direction of traffic control devices and use caution through the work zone. Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the schedules.
