The Wood County Assessor’s office will be closed today and Friday and the Wood County Sheriff’s Tax Office will only be doing drive-through service as the result a second positive case of the virus was found among county employees, the president of the county commission said.

Commissioner Blair Couch said the commission is re-evaluating plans for Monday. The commission is awaiting other test results, he said.

The courthouse was closed on Wednesday for a cleaning after discovery of the first positive case.
