Virus cases shoot up in Wood County
PARKERSBURG — Wood County’s number of positive COVID-19 cases has nearly doubled in a little more than a week.
According to a release this afternoon from the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department, there have been 114 positive cases since March, 28 of them recorded in the last two days.
On June 25, the total was 59 cases.
A source of the new positive cases was not immediately known, a health department spokeswoman said.
