Third death reported in Wood County from the virus
A Wood County resident died Wednesday morning from complications of COVID-19, the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department reported.
The death is the third in Wood County since the virus was detected in West Virginia, the health department said.
The health department also reported there have been 195 positive cases to date in Wood County. Of those, 82 have been released from isolation.
Since Monday morning, 16 new COVID-19 cases have been logged in Wood County.
Calhoun County has had four case with three of those recovered. Pleasants County has four cases with two recovered.
Of the 12 positive COVID-19 cases in Roane, two remain in isolation. Wirt County has six positive COVID-19 cases, of which four of those have been released from isolation.
