Parkersburg police looking for shooting suspect
PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Police Department is looking for a resident of Toledo, Ohio, in connection with a shooting Friday afternoon.
A warrant has been issued for Farrell White, 47, 909 Wall St., Toledo, on a charge of wanton endangerment involving a firearm.
Lt. Greg Collins with the Parkersburg Police Department says White is considered to be armed and dangerous at this time.
According to the criminal complaint, White arrived to 656 Liberty St. Friday afternoon and “abruptly” entered the room where victim Ronald Taylor III was visiting with “acquaintances.”
White then opened fire on the victim at least three times, hitting him in the chest and forearm with what was described as a “chrome handgun,” the complaint says.
Collins said the victim is expected to survive.
The intersection of Liberty and Andrew streets continued to be blocked to traffic late Friday evening after police obtained a search warrant for the home, began to process the crime scene and continued conducting the investigation.
The Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force and a Parkersburg Police K-9 have been called in to assist with the case.
As of 9 p.m. Friday authorities had multiple people who either witnessed the altercation or were a part of it giving statements or in custody.
Two vehicles believed to have been at the house during the time of the shooting have been recovered and impounded to be searched for evidence, according to Collins.
