Covid-19 numbers continue rising

Staff Reports

PARKERSBURG — The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department continues to encourage individuals and businesses to heed the governor’s mandate to wear a mask indoors and to take precautions when traveling as Wood County cases continue to rise.

The MOVHD reported 17 new positive cases in Wood County on Saturday, reaching a total of a 178 positive cases. For those returning from trips it is recommended that a Covid-19 test be completed three to five days after returning home. This helps to prevent a false negative, according to the MOVHD.
