Wood County Schools plans summer meals program

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Schools will continue meal distribution through the summer months at nine locations.

The summer meal distribution runs June 17 through Aug. 5. The distribution will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each Wednesday. Each box will contain five breakfasts and five lunches.

The sites will be closed on June 19 in observance of West Virginia Day and on July 3 in observance of Independence Day.

Meal boxes will be provided to all school children, ages 18 years and under, who would like to participate.

Meal boxes will be served at the following sites:

* Homecrest Manor, 1901 Cameron Ave., Parkersburg.

* McKinley Elementary, 1130 19th St., Parkersburg.

* Mineral Wells Elementary, 1776 Elizabeth Pike, Mineral Wells.

* Neale Elementary, 2305 Grand Central Ave., Vienna.

* Parkersburg South High School, 1511 Blizzard Drive, Parkersburg.

* Lubeck Elementary, 206 Lubeck Road, Lubeck.

* Parkersburg YMCA, 1800 30th St., Parkersburg.

* BDI — Bearing Distributors, 211 S. Meadville Road, Davisville.

* Family Carpet, (Route 14) 2328 Williams Highway, Boaz.
