Mid-Ohio Valley sees new coronavirus cases

PARKERSBURG — The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department (MOVHD) announces that three of the region’s six counties have new positive COVID-19 cases. Calhoun County has another new case for a total of two cases. Wood County added one new positive COVID-19 case, to bring the total positive cases for the county to 49. Roane County has one new positive, with nine confirmed cases. Wirt County remains at 3, Pleasants County with 2 and Ritchie County has 1.

In Washington County, the Marietta/Belpre Health Department, Memorial Health System and Washington County Health Department shared that Washington County has 116 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 17 deaths and is still monitoring 30.2 percent of the cases. Marietta Memorial Hospital initiated 2,359 tests to date. The rate of tests positive for COVID-19 is 5.7 percent.
