PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Board of Education Tuesday recognized two students whose suicide awareness posters were chosen in the Secondary Schools’ Suicide Prevention Contest. Alayna Garst, left, an eighth-grader at Williamstown High School, won the middle school competition and Julian Siefert, right, a junior at Parkersburg High School, won the high school competition. Both will have their posters displayed at secondary schools throughout Wood County and both received iPads as well as iPad covers emblazoned with their poster designs.
