Vienna Police arrest man on drug charge
VIENNA — Vienna Police and the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force around 9:30 a.m. Thursday executed a search warrant and an arrest warrant at 3207 Charles Drive where the resident, Cipriano Scottorinaldi, 35, was taken into custody, Vienna Police Chief Mike Pifer said.
The arrest warrant was for conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, which stemmed from a grand jury indictment on Wednesday, Pifer said.
A search of the residence yielded a small amount of suspected fentanyl or heroin and suspected marijuana, Pifer said.
Conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance is a felony with a possible penalty of no less than two or more than 10 years in prison, Pifer said. Other charges are pending, Pifer said.
Bond was set at $50,000 surety, which Scottorinaldi was unable to post. He was placed in the Wood County Holding Center, Pifer said.
The Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force is comprised of officers from the Vienna Police Department, Parkersburg Police Department, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, the Williamstown Police Department and the West Virginia State Police.
