Power restored at Parkersburg Municipal Building
PARKERSBURG — Power has been restored at the Parkersburg Municipal Building.
The building was operating on emergency power this morning after an issue with a transformer affected a few customers in the downtown area. Power was only being used for select lighting and critical police and fire communications, Parkersburg Mayor Tom Joyce said.
“Personnel are reconfiguring servers and systems currently; hopefully full access will be restored shortly,” he said.
There were also 118 customers in the Rockport area without power after a fuse failed, MonPower spokesman Jeff Straight said. The number was down to 20 or less, according to FirstEnergy’s outage website. Power is expected to be restored by 11:26 a.m., Straight said.
