Patrick Lefebure files pre-candidacy papers
PARKERSBURG — Wood County Prosecuting Attorney Patrick Lefebure, of Williamstown, has filed his pre-candidacy re-election paperwork for the 2020 election.
Lefebure began working in the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office in 2003 after obtaining his law degree from Capital University and his bachelor’s degree from Marshall University. He was elected the Wood County prosecutor in 2016.
Since beginning as the elected prosecutor, Lefebure said he has been aggressively targeting Wood County’s drug problem from all facets.
He said he was among the first in West Virginia to successfully prosecute an overdose death as felony murder. He has worked with local agencies on providing recovery opportunities to those in need, Lefebure said.
