West Virginia DOH readies Mid-Ohio Valley projects
PARKERSBURG — The West Virginia Division of Highways has several project this week.
In Wood County, the DOH will be closing Wood County Route 8, Summit Road, today for a culvert replacement project beginning about 0.16 miles from the intersection with W.Va. 14 at milepost 1.36. Crews will be working between 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. The roadway will be closed. Motorists are asked to plan ahead and must use alternate routes.
In Ritchie County, the DOH will be performing a culvert installation on W.Va. 31, Cairo Road, today and Tuesday beginning at milepost 2.4 from Harrisville. Crews will be working between 6:30 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. Flagging personnel will be present to maintain two-way traffic flow but substantial delays are expected. Motorists are asked to plan ahead and/or use alternate routes if possible.
In Jackson County, WV Paving will begin resurfacing projects Wednesday on Jackson County Route 21/30 (Pleasant Valley Road), Jackson CR 15/9 (Jim Ridge Road), Jackson CR 38 (Givens-Putnam Count Line) and Jackson CR 38/5 (Jim Ridge Road). Crews will be working from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. daily through Aug. 30. Flagging personnel will be present to maintain two-way traffic but minor delays are expected.
