Recovery Point Parkersburg to host open house Saturday

PARKERSBURG — Recovery Point Parkersburg will have an open house at noon Saturday at its long-term residential recovery facility at 4204 Emerson Ave.

Recovery Point Parkersburg, a nonprofit organization, opened its doors in 2017 and has since served hundreds of men suffering from substance use disorder, officials said. It is the newest facility of the Recovery Point programs throughout the state.

During the open house, the community can take tours of the 82-bed facility and hear remarks from staff, alumni and the office of Sen. Joe Manchin. Guests are invited to stay for a cookout following the speeches.

“We want to help bridge the gap between the Mid-Ohio Valley community and the recovery community in the area,” said Allison Conley, director of development for Recovery Point West Virginia. “Our goal is to come together to help combat the substance use disorder epidemic and educate the community as to what Recovery Point Parkersburg is doing to save lives. It takes an entire community coming together to make a difference.”
