Laser light show slated for Saturday

PARKERSBURG — Instead of the traditional fireworks show, laser lights will fill the air over Point Park on Saturday night during the Parkersburg Homecoming Festival

The festival will be honoring local heroes at 9 p.m. Saturday with luminarias in Point Park followed by DayStar Lasers International’s “Tribute to Local Heroes” Laser Light Show.

DayStar Lasers International is an award-winning, full-service laser show production company focused on corporate and concert events and “lasertising” for trade shows, outdoor, and special effects for film, TV and sporting events.

In 19 years, DayStar Lasers has performed hundreds of shows in 45 states and has clients in over 28 countries. DayStar has worked for a diversity of clients, including Acura, Volvo, Dodge, GM, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, Absolut Vodka, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Omni Hotels, the USPS, the USAF, NASA, University of Michigan, Sony Entertainment, CBS and FFA National Association, and international clients such as MontBlanc, VISA SA and Barclays Bank.

DayStar will perform a custom-tailored laser show for the Homecoming which will feature laser projections celebrating high points of local history, landmarks, people, “local heroes” and other aspects championing the area. It will include a custom-tailored soundtrack and aerial-laser displays.
