HARRISVILLE — A Petroleum man charged with shooting and killing another man following an argument was indicted Monday by the Ritchie County Grand Jury.

Chester L. Baughman, 28, of 170 Oil Springs Road, Petroleum, was indicted on charges of murder, malicious assault and wanton endangerment involving a firearm.

Baughman was arrested in February in Wood County after allegedly shooting and killing George Ruble, 36, with a .22-caliber rifle. His vehicle was found near Progress Ridge Road the day of the shooting and authorities apprehended him without incident.
