Master Gardner training set at Wood County Public Library
VIENNA — The West Virginia University Extension Service will conduct its annual Master Gardener Training Course starting March 18.
The 10-week training course is $100. This registration fee is to cover the cost of speakers and includes a West Virginia Extension Master Gardener’s Manual. Last year the Master Gardeners sponsored a scholarship for the training course.
Master Gardeners are Extension volunteers who are trained in small scale food production, horticulture and gardening through the training course. These volunteers, in turn, share their knowledge.
The Master Gardener’s course will be held Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at the Main Branch of the Parkersburg and Wood County Public Library. For more information contact J.J. Barrett, West Virginia University Extension Agriculture Agent for Wood County, at 304-424-1960 or firstname.lastname@example.org
