Via cancels remaining flights at MOV airport

WILLIAMSTOWN — Via Airlines has canceled its remaining flights to and from the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport.

Due to maintenance issues, both 30-seat turboprop planes that could be used to travel between the local airport and Charlotte Douglas International are out of commission, airport Manager Glen Kelly said.

Commercial flights are not expected to resume at the airport until Tennessee-based Contour Airlines begins its service Dec. 5.

“We hate this for our customers; however, with all the flights that have been canceled (recently) I would rather our customers know now these flights are canceled,” Kelly said.
