McCONNELSVILLE, Ohio — A Lima, Ohio, man was killed after he overturned his motorcycle and slid off of Ohio 792 at 11:45 a.m. Friday.

William E. White, 58, was operating his 1991 Honda motorcycle while traveling south when the crash occurred in the area of milepost 1 in Windsor Township in Morgan County, officials said.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, White was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Crash Reconstruction Unit, Malta and McConnelsville Fire Department, Morgan County coroner and MedFlight all responded to the crash.

White was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash, officials said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
