PARKERSBURG — A Wood County man involved with the Wood County Historical and Preservation Society has received a certificate from the U.S. Senate.
Robert “Bob” Enoch was presented the Certificate of Recognition at the June meeting of the society.
The award, signed by U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, recognizes Enoch “for his leadership and contributions to the preservation of Wood County’s incredible history. Through his efforts, future generations will be able to explore and enjoy our past for years to come.”
“Probably no person in Wood County has had a more substantial role in preserving and documenting our local history than Bob Enoch,” local historian Roger Nedeff said. “His hand can be seen in every significant civic history project in our area for the last 30 years. Bob Enoch is Wood County’s eminent historian.”
