A long and straight section of the course between mile markers eight and nine.

Going past mile marker eight takes runners and walkers through an area that once produced household materials and garden supplies shipped all over the world. Now the area is residential. Participants will encounter some slight hills and curves throughout this mile but it will be a fairly long, straight stretch as runners and walkers gear up for the last few miles of the half marathon.
