PARKERSBURG — Joyce Boone has always been interested in drawing and painting starting as a child and that interest continues.

She works in several mediums but mainly with graphite pencils, watercolor and ink.

“Most of my artwork revolves around animals. I like doing pet portraits and wildlife and will use pencil, ink and watercolor depending on my subject matter,” said Boone.

Boone exhibited her one-woman show at WesBanco in 2023 but organized the Mosaic Display several times from SW Resources. In past years she has exhibited her paintings at Wells Inn, Riverside Gallery, and Buxton Gallery. When her paintings were exhibited at Wells Inn, she received the People’s Choice Award, Best of Show and First Place Award. Boone has since retired but was the creative brain behind the SW Resources mosaic art department, Marble Tree. The exhibit at WesBanco will display the artistic talent and creativity of Boone painted in watercolor, alcohol ink, scratch board (ink), and pencil.
