MARIETTA — The 32nd annual River City Blues Festival will be Friday and Saturday at the Lafayette Hotel in downtown Marietta.

Presented by the Blues, Jazz & Folk Music Society of Marietta, the festival will bring a variety of blues acts to Marietta for two days.

Formed in 1987, the BJFMS is an all-volunteer non-profit music society promoting blues, jazz and folk music in the Mid-Ohio Valley. The society provides cultural information and presents dance and music workshops, and blues, jazz and folk shows that the public would not likely hear live in the local area.

A weekend pass is $100. Admission is $40 for Friday night, $40 for Saturday afternoon and $50 for Saturday night.

This year’s performers will include Joanna Conner, Albert Cummings, Joe Waters, Jimmy Carpenter Band and Selwin Birchwood. Saturday evening’s headliners will be Chambers DesLauriers Band and Kenny Neal.
