Tickle You Pink: ‘Legally Blond the Musical’ on the docket at Parkersburg South

PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg South High School Theatre Department will present “Legally Blonde the Musical” for two weekends in March.
The show will be presented March 14, 21 and 22 at 7 p.m.
There will be a matinee performance on March 16 at 2:30 p.m. while March 15 will be the program’s annual dinner theater fundraiser with dinner beginning at 5 p.m. and the curtain for the show at 7.
All performances will be staged at Parkersburg South High School in the auditorium at 1511 Blizzard Drive, Parkersburg.
The cost is $10 for adults and $8 for students/seniors or at the door for an additional $2. Tickets for the dinner theatre are $30, which include the dinner and show.

“Legally Blonde the Musical” is licensed by Music Theatre International. It is an award-winning musical based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the movie by Metro-Goldywn-Mayer starring Reese Witherspoon.
“Legally Blonde the Musical” was written by Heather Hach with music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin. It is rated PG-13 and follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.
Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend Warner dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. With the support of some new friends, though, she quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.
