PARKERSBURG — The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department announces that Devena Moore has recently been licensed as a nurse practitioner with the state of West Virginia.

Moore has been employed at the Health Department for 17 years. As a family nurse practitioner, she can now offer services for patients of all ages including:

* Preventative care services such as immunizations, well child exams and hearing and vision screenings.

* Physical exams such as those required for work, school and health screenings for education enrollment.

* Women’s health services

* Nexplanon insertions and removals

* General screenings

* Health and wellness prevention and education services

* STI education, screenings and treatment

* Referrals to specialists

Moore is a 2011 graduate of Washington State College of Ohio where she received her certificate of practical nursing education and was licensed as a practical nurse. After working as an LPN for several years, she went on to graduate from Washington State in 2022 with an associate’s degree in nursing and passed the boards to become a registered nurse. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University in July 2023 and her master’s degree in nursing in 2024 with a family nurse practitioner concentration.

Moore was born and raised in Wood County and is now very excited to be able to give back to her community.
