PARKERSBURG — The Constitution Party of West Virginia will hold a winter summit in Parkersburg at the start of February, after the event was rescheduled due to snow.

The summit is slated for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at The Rock Church, 1305 37th St., Parkersburg.

The summit was originally planned for Jan. 4 at the same location, but recent snowfall caused it, and a number of other activities, to be called off or postponed.

A release from the party noted it is now an officially recognized party in the state. It says the two-party system has had “a stranglehold” on government for too long, and the goal of the summit “is to inform citizens about the Constitution Party, talk about the platform of the party and to discuss strategic goals.”

The event is open to all citizens, regardless of political affiliation, the release said.

Speakers at the Winter Summit will include national Constitution Party Chairman Justin Magill, regional Chairman Bob Goodrich, state Chairwoman Amy Stull and the party’s 2024 West Virginia gubernatorial candidate, S. Marshall Wilson.

There is no charge for the event. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided.

Starting at $2.99/week.
