Belpre event planned for Wreaths Across America
BELPRE — Belpre Rotary Club and Belpre Area Veterans will observe a Wreaths Across America memorial event at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Cedarville Cemetery, off Cross Street on Cemetery Drive in Belpre.
The cemetery is site of the burial of 18 known Revolutionary War soldiers.
The memorial service will be highlighted by the laying of wreaths at graves of Revolutionary War heroes. Rotarian Don Ery, organizer of the event for 14 years, will be the host, and the public is invited.

There will be an invocation and benediction.
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission to “Remember, Honor and Teach” is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 3,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
